I've actually seen the recipe for this. You cook a two layer cake, put a little green food coloring into one of them, then grind them up in the food processor till they are the consistency of cat litter, then slightly melt some tootsie rolls in the microwave and place them strategically in the "litter." Sounds yummy, but looks disgusting.
"But I thought it was really a two layer cake dotted with food coloring, ground up in a blender to the consistency of kitty litter and sprinkled with melted tootsie rolls so I ate it even though it looked just like cat crap."
Are you nuts? That's cat crap, just as it looks like! Here, go have your stomach pumped, wash that taste out of your mouth and have some pie. Off you go!
OMG I made that for my husband's birthday last year. It was SOOO hilarious!!! I gotta go get the pics off my external hard drive to show you all.
Last year I made kitty litter cookies for a party. The cookies were a sort of brownie batter that you formed to look like....well...you know, and it was served in a litter pan on a bed of Grapenuts cereal. You buried a few and used a kitty litter scoop to serve them. The only thing is to remember to add the brownies to the Grapenuts just before serving as the brownies will dry out quickly. http://www.razzledazzlerecipes.com/halloween/kitty-litter-cookies.htm
