Nice! Thanks for the pic. People can't just walk by the place now and not realize it's there. I think it's great that the real MK refurbishment has started in Liberty Square and is now almost complete.

My theory is that the decision on the next big project at WDW was between MI at AK and refurbing FL at MK. Since CMM has partially reopened a shuttered attraction, my guess is that Fantasyland is next and MI is on hold for now. Just a theory though.

Well...Seeing all the tarps and walls in FL...:lookaroun:lol:

Who knows? It would be nice.

When does TWWOHP open?

Signs at the park said Spring of 2010 when I was there. Maybe, but I don't think so. That gives them a little less than a year from this point and from what I saw its going to take some magic to get Hogwarts castle operational within that time frame. Looking more at mid to late 2010 probably, just like RRR is now (hopefully, finally) looking at a late July opening now instead of the April date that was floated around for a while.

They won't make an official annoncement. I think it is because there are to many unknowns. Sometime next year I suspect.

Well...Seeing that, it makes the issue of timetables a bit more apparent..
I hope EF doesn't happen. Hate the idea, personally.
Same here. Just a M&G.

Your kids will love it however.

I won't have kids for a good 6-10 years, so yea.

And there's already enough that kids love at MK. The whole freaking park is dedicated to only them. Give me a big kid ride that I'll be able to enjoy with them when they are done caring about the foamheads and princesses. Because as of now, MK is sorely lacking in that department.

Here's a shot a little further back of the newly refreshed attraction building.

It's also been said by many insiders that EF was nothing more than Blue SKy, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

It's a no-brainer concept that seems perfect to me. Because WDW has the luxury of 4 theme parks, I really don't mind if FL does not get any thrill rides. I'd be perfectly happy to see the land designed for families with pre-schoolers. Major thrill rides are a better fit at the other 3 parks. SM and BTMRR are about as extreme as a ride at MK should get IMO. Walt's big idea was that there should be attractions that the entire family can enjoy together. He was a bit of a visionary. :)

I never said I wanted some extreme thrill ride, jt. Don't put words in my mouth, and don't be so condescending to me about Walt's vision.

But the fact is that MK is on its way to not being a family park. It's on its way to becoming a kiddie only park. At least one more thrill ride on the level you are talking about is needed in the park.

Out late last night? Or are you Grumpy today and just getting into the role?

I agree, one more ride would be good. I want a grizzly peak type ride in Frontierland.

Actually the whole no job thing has my night life grounded for the time being.

As for the thrill ride, putting it in Frontierland would be a disaster, IMO. It's already one of the more crowded areas of the park with Splash and Thunder right there. Personally I'd love a Toontown or Tomorrowland E-ticket on either the 20K plot, or Indy Speedway.
