That’s the maintenance area where Pirates of the Scaribbean was proposed to be located. It was a nighttime version of the ride featuring the undead skeleton crew from Curse of the Black Pearl.

Shameful Admission: I was really excited for the Jack Sparrow addition.

So in way to save money (something you should like if you really are for the health of the business) they decided to take the same plan for SWL and take care of that problem.

There is plenty of SW and Marvel stories and characters for future gates in both domestic parks. So there are plenty of expansion possibilities if they ever want to move forward with those plans.

For someone who claims to make much of their money from stock options and similar forms of pay you surely don't look at the entire business climate that directs much of the decisions of a company.

Oh I'm well aware that Disney's greed and ham handed 'negotiators ' poisoned the well in Anaheim resulting recently in an anti-Disney city council. With the first casualty being the runDisney events.

But it WAS possible 3 years ago, As to a SWL 5'th gate. Just look at the traffic for the last SWW gridlock for miles around DHS.

Whats needed is a SWL with 20 or so attractions with 4-5 of them being E-tickets and the remainder being people eaters.

Personally I'm a ST fan, DW is the SW fan. But I recognize the huge multi-generation appeal of SW. And the current incarnation of SWL aint gonna git'r done.

By the way, I've been meaning to ask you. Would I be able to butter you up at all if I told you that I went to The Disney Family Museum to see the Salvador Dali exhibit a few years ago?

I think you're being a bit naive, even 3 years ago it would not have been possible in Anaheim. You would have had to go back closer to 6 years ago. And what was Disney doing 6 years ago, going through a major overhaul of DCA. They would not have been will to move forward on a 3rd gate because DCA was not standing on its own. Heck its still barely able to stand on its own now.

DHS was half a day park at best before. Now once TSL and SWL are finished it'll be a full day park. Again a park has to be able to stand on its own before they're willing to build another. Its a waste of money to open another partial day park just because you want them to.
