It makes me feel like this is just Phase One for a much larger project.
Yeah, it's possible, and it they could add some "place making" to it later when the expansion happens.

"KABOOM" is Rhode's excuse for this ride coming out of nowhere, as it makes no sense. What he said doesn't even make sense, like this project. "The Guardian world terminates abruptly...?" What does that even mean? What does that have to do with the building and its aesthetics appearing in Hollywood Land?
Rhode is obviously pulling things out of his behind to justify this project and how it looks. That's how I see it, at least. The building will always be hideous to me, no matter what the reason/excuse is.
My understanding is that isn't visible from BV Street. I don't recall being able to see TOT from there. Am I wrong?
Honestly, yes. It is more interesting to look at. It draws your eye over to it. It makes you curious as to what this fantastical looking building is all about.
I haven't been to the parks since they took most of the scaffolding down. I'm just going off of what I've been seeing in the pictures

Well it definitely makes me curious. But not in the same way. Lol

Well the point is it makes you curious. So in my opinion it did what it was intended to do.
I didn't think it looked too bad from Bugs Land either.I'll admit vantage points are not my forte. So you can only see the that view when looking head on from Grizzly Airfield? It didn't look bad from Pacific Wharf. I don't think the view from Paradise Pier proper will be too problematic. And I don't think you can see it from the GRR area. So what does that leave? The main pathway thru the park, Bugs Land, and Cars land (kind of). What is the view from the middle of Hollywood Blvd?
Oh God. You re really reaching now. I meant as in curious what the hell WDI was thinking.
I can tell deep down you love this design. Search your feelings mickEblu.Oh God. You re really reaching now. I meant as in curious what the hell WDI was thinking.

I'm pretty sure there isn't anything they could design that would fit perfectly with other sight lines and look like it legitimately belongs to the Collector. He's a W.T.F kind of guy.
I have not seen it in the parks personally but here is what I got from those that have. If you are looking for sight lines that prove to you that its as bad as you think, you will find them no matter how far you have to look. Everyone will try to find something that proves their point, good or bad.
The museum in the movie isn't really that crazy looking compared to GOTG:MB
And this is the "city" "planet" Knowhere it's housed on.
I don't have a point to prove. I know how I feel about it. I was wondering what it looks like from those areas. Did you see where I said it doesn't look bad from Pacific Wharf? You seems to be going out of your way to find things to be contrarian about.
