When I was just on Google Earth, it struck me that the total of the various rumors are talking about a huge piece of DCA being re-purposed in the coming years. Supposedly, the bus load area; the sound stages; all the northside of HWL; the Hyperion; the lot behind the Tower and Bugs Land could be re-done. That is a ton of ground.

It's extremely unlikely that much beyond the Marvel rollercoaster happens.

As I write all of these posts I'm realizing that as an AP my visits to DLR basically consist of a handful of the following rides (#1-7) each visit..in no particular order. It's just interesting to me considering the amount of DLR I think is sacred yet don't ride most of the rides.

1. Splash Mountain
2. POTC
3. HM
4. Space Mountain
5. BTM
6. (Insert random FL dark ride)
7. TOT :(

Second Tier (every 3-5 visits)
8. Screamin (would be higher if it wasn't located in BF Egypt)
9. TSMM (see above)
10. Soarin (got demoted after switch to World)
11. GRR
12. Indy
13. Star Tours
14. Matterhorn
15. Little mermaid (because of convenience and short wait time)
16. Pooh (see above)

*** RSR would be on this list if the line wasn't always insane and I could make it early enough for a FP

More recently King Arthur's Carrosuel and IASW has shot way up to the top of the list because of my 1.4 year old son.

Which makes me wonder how Buena Vista St /Oswald would fit into the whole DAP thing. Another reason I find it hard to believe they go with a name change.

Well, an adventure can any be a novel, interesting or unusual experience, which pretty much covers everything at a Disney park. While I don't care one way or another if they change the name, I don't think DAP would be too out of place.

I guess your right. They can stretch the theme to fit whatever narrative they want. I mean if they can KABLOOM - plop a 15 story Alien tower In Hollywoodland I doubt they would be too bothered by how Buena Vista St fits with DAP.

But doesn't it feel like all theme is being watered down?

Oswald's Adventure Park.

They can put in a mega e-ticket Oswald dark ride in DCA and a mega e-ticket Mickey dark ride in Disneyland. They can have some kind of technology where the two rides interact with each other while people are on the rides.

Like real-world historically themed attractions in a park called "The Magic Kingdom"?

Or removing all the studios from a park with "Studios" in its name?

Or attempting to create a kiddie character mascot with the theme of "Imagination" that's supposed to be in a land that highlights real-world advances in technology in the form of edutainment?

What kind of Mickey Mouse corporation would do any of that?

Real world in the Magic Kingdom?

In the real world I doubt anyone ever saw a talking skull as Pirates were robbing them in the Caribbean. Even the "real world" rides are fantasy versions.

Studios?
That's why they re changing the name now right?

Kiddie character?
I assume your talking about Figment. Never been to Epcot but being that he's located in the IMAGINATION pavilion I think it gets a pass.
What it definitely isn't is a 20 story Ugly Alien warehouse that can been seen from half of Anaheim.

What was done to Figment (and Dreamfinder) and the Imagination pavilion is as much of a travesty as anything related to a theme park can be. Almost as bad as the demolition of Horizons.

But I think Mister Penguins point was it doesn't make thematic sense for Figment to be in the land/ park he resides in. Not the alterations they made to the original attraction. Could be wrong.

I've never been to Epcot but I hear many lamenting the loss or alterations of a lot of the original attractions there.
