Copper is shiny brown.

Gold is shiny yellow-orange.

Silver is shiny light grey.
I hope the people reacting with the Haha emoji are doing so because the terse interjection of fact into a dispute was done in a humorous way and not because they think what I posted was wrong and risible.

Just in case people don't know: metallic colors are just ordinary colors with a metallic, i.e., shiny, sheen.

And pink is just a light red or purple.

And brown is just a dark orange.

Color theory is fun!

I can't understand why they wouldn't put the solar panels back in. It seems the environmentally conscious thing to do. Unless the cost of putting them in far exceeds the return in energy. I'd imagine the cells are far more efficient than they were in 1982. The solar panels can only add to the already existing panels on the property.

i agree, where originally it was cool, forward thinking and fit the attraction. Today it fits what disney should be trying to be (heck they have the mickey mouse solar farm). I almost expect that they feel the amount of energy pulled wouldnt do much to power the ride so isnt worth the effort. But the good PR and free publicity should have been worth it. How many attractions at any park have renewable energy?

That doesn't mean I am going to give up the fight. Disney has 12(I may have miscounted) other parks dedicated to fantasy. If enough people yell, Disney may listen.
listen internet person, you do you. being passionate about something is better than not being passionate at all. but i don't think GotG:CR is going to be going anywhere any time soon. and it sounds like it's going to be quite the ride. here's hoping it's good!

So you're saying it was just my eyes playing tricks on me in March when I would (but didn't) see a large (invisible) blue box when approaching Epcot, and also when my eyes would (not) catch something in that general direction when looking around Epcot, especially when walking around WS. Does that apply to the Soarin' building as well? Because then there have been dozens of times over the years that I've (not) seen that building. Will this apply to the (non-existent) Tron building as well?

;)

No, you saw what you saw, but zooming in and taking a picture isn't what people are seeing from WS. In the parking lot it's horrendous, I totally get it. But once you're in, on ground level and around SSE, no one is seeing it.

I took a picture of the BBB from Japan, on a clear day, and it most assuredly did not look like your picture. I posted it a long time ago to show what it actually looked like, but it's a while and I don't want to dig through 5000 posts.

These people keep making jokes that people like us act like it's legit invisible and no one can see it at all. No one is denying it's there and saying you can't see it... some of us just have the opinion that it's not as bad as they make it out to be when inside the park. And taking pictures like that telephoto shot just makes no sense and blows it way out of proportion. I was just there a couple weeks ago, and in World Showcase I can see it, but it feels way in the distance and even though they are like the same size, Spaceship Earth still takes my attention MUCH MORE than the GotG building. Which is good to me. I'm not trying to say it's still alright for the building to be made the way it was, I honestly wish they would have flattened it out somehow to make it shorter or theme it somehow, but I guess it's whatever at this point.
