They are going to have the actual Chris Pratt essentially live there. They are really serious about getting out of the animatronic business.

I have long harboured the suspicion that this is exactly what is going on with the incredibly high WDI costs. Hidden Stealth Bombers.

TWDC could need some inflated costs within the US to off-set profits, for tax reasons. To siphon off profits to more tax friendly areas. Although that is all speculation on my part and neither based on intimate knowledge of Disney numbers nor any specific expertise.

Disney got spooked by the 9/11 incident and has secretly been militarizing their Florida operation to provide defense in the event of a future attack... the floating mountains? Elaborate camouflage for surface to air missile launcher... that overly large show building for GotG? Missile silo... the X-wing Starfighters that they are adding to Galaxy's Edge? Fully operational... it really is the only way to account for the exceptionally high costs of each of these projects...

This is not a refurb, this in an entirely new ride that happens to use an existing building for it's queue. With that said, the cost may still be way out of line.
