I'll bite- what is it?

It's GLaDOS the villian in the video game Portal 2...Which has a resemblance to the Villian Auto in Wall-E

Isn't it kind of a problem that an entire half of Future World is going to be all thrill rides? How is Epcot going to become “more Disney, timeless, relevant, family friendly” when guests who can't do thrill rides (young, old, disabled, etc) have nothing to do in a major portion of the park.

I get your point but they did add Green Mission to Mission: Space so not the entire half is off limits to non-thrill seekers.

Test Track is also very family friendly and mostly accommodating boasting a 40" height requirement. If you can ride in a car, for the most part you can handle test track's forces and speeds as much of the perceived thrill comes from the heightened sensation of the wind and the slight g-forces generated by the banking of the track.

If we go by length of run, which is good indicator of popularity, then the list is.

1. The Phantom of the Opera
2. Chicago
3. The Lion King
4.
Cats
5. Les Misérables
6. Chorus Line
7. Oh! Calcutta!
8. Wicked
9. Mamma Mia!
10. Beauty and the Beast

Only three of these are not based on previous material, Chicago, Chorus Line and Oh! Calcutta!, but I would argue that the only ones where the popularity could be significantly attributed to source material are Lion King, Wicked, Mamma Mia! and Beauty and the Beast.

Chicago was based on a play written in the 20's based on real events. :depressed:

I agree that M:S green and TT are pretty tame as far as thrill rides go; however, M:S has the intimidation factor due to small spaces and an unfamiliar ride system. Some people will avoid TT due to the speed and sharp turns. For the record, I enjoy both rides, I just think it's a bad idea to essentially split Future World into the "adult" side and the "kid" side.

I wonder how long it will be before they apply the Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. overlay to Test Track...

Well that's a stretch and quite frankly just sounds like you're upset...

Also it has Marvel in the name so they can't use it in the park!
Also, this is one of those cases where GM does benefit from the spinsorship..I think they might continue on for awhile, unless Disney pushes them out like they did with Siemens.

It cracks me up every time someone claims that Epcot has "thrill rides".

Disney fans definition of thrill ride is "anything that moves".
Says Disneyhead71...:p

Truthfully though, everyone has their own definition of a thrill ride, there is no set rule. Test Track to me, is a thrill ride. I get a thrill when I go on it.
