It cracks me up every time someone claims that Epcot has "thrill rides".

Disney fans definition of thrill ride is "anything that moves".
Everyone is different. Some would consider this behemoth a great thrill ride.

Me? I got off bored asking “was that it?” The anticipation was a far greater thrill than anything the actual ride gave me.

I much preferred El Toro :)

After going to Disney, my son came up with a category for the slower rides, such as Spaceship Earth and Living with the Land. He calls them "comfort rides" because he doesn't get anxious before riding them and just feels happy and relaxed. He likes both kinds of rides (comfort and exciting) and likes to ride them both over and over. But Disney is the only place that has "comfort rides." Thrill rides are everywhere.

I have to agree, El Toro is pretty disorienting, but I find I don't have as much of a residual effect from the ride than from the tequila.

Trust me I'm no wimp when it comes to thrill rides; I was born and raised at Cedar Point and Kings Island. So using that standard, there are probably no more than 10 actual thrill rides between Universal and Disney while KI and CP have more than that in just a single park.

But obviously thrill rides are not the reason people traditionally have visited Disney parks. It's just very interesting that Future World was a place where a family could go on everything together and now half of it will be "thrill rides." Not saying Epcot shouldn't have thrill rides (TT and M:S fit pretty well) just that they need to be spread out and have other offerings.

It's not a thrill ride unless there is a high chance of death. So I'd say WDW has no thrill rides. That is until the gondals are open and running during a thunder storm.
