Is the problem lack of good Imagineers, or management that won't give them the freedom or money to do really good work?
A good question for the masses to ponder.

It's the same contradictory rambling you've already repeated before. You're continue to ignore an entire history in favor of the recent delusion that the Magic Kingdom is some kiddie park and are still jumping around to find some excuse that might hold up.
I said most not all. Yes, obviously kids get scared on those type of rides, but the ratio between scared and not was probably fairly different between the coasters and AE. I'm also pretty certain there's still some difference between them and SGE.Not all kids think Space and BTMRR are fun. I've seen plenty of them get off in tears.
Lot of kids liked AE. The ones whose parents knew they could handle it, as opposed to the ones who were scared even before their obsessive parents drug them on it. The same parents who then got mad.
Magic Kingdom needs something for an older audience. Alien Encounter was just not what it needed.
That's a made up metric that fits whatever you want it to fit so that you can always claim a disconnect. There are plenty of children at Halloween Horror Nights enjoying the event so there is no universal standard. The Magic Kingdom still features selling brides and suicide. 'Scary' was not originally part of Snow White's Scary Adventures. Even something like the Hall of Presidents is not exactly the sort of thing young children will become enamored with, The problem with your argument is that you are not making excuses, you're just repeating ones you've read without realizing that their connective tissue is the false narrative of a kiddie park.I was never trying to justify it being a kiddy park, but rather a family park. Name me one MK attraction before AE that could truly be considered an experience strictly for those teen+. I didn't intend to look like I was making excuses by adding to my point. I'll admit that occasionally my argument can slip as it does with anyone, but I feel in this case my argument has been relatively consistent.
It'll probably be a tweaked version of the Primeval World poster art they're selling as a T-Shirt for the Anniversary of that diorama right now.
Yeah. Tweaked to include the original logo for the attraction and "EPCOT Center" somewhere on it to give the illusion that they still have one ounce of care. Unlike Maelstrom, I won't be buying this one. I shall resist. It'll probably be a tweaked version of the Primeval World poster art they're selling as a T-Shirt for the Anniversary of that diorama right now.
I'd actually prefer Energy if they're dead set on this because by all accounts we would end up with a much better ride than a reskinned M:S. Just in the completely wrong spot. Plus M:S is rumored to get some kind of update anyway. If they are so hell bent on using Guardians in an attraction, why not look two doors down at an attraction that is already space themed and would minimize the fact that the IP does not belong in Epcot? It would fit the current MO of the Bobs. Then they could redo Energy with an appropriate theme.
I think that's a fair enough statement. If something along those lines is done, I just hope they could do something that could blend in seemlessly like another mountain. Mature, yet still somehow wholesome.Magic Kingdom needs something for an older audience. Alien Encounter was just not what it needed.

In my mind, all they can really do is change the screen without making significant changes to the ride. And I don't think that will happen. I also don't think changing the rocket flight will make it any more exciting than it already is.I'd have gladly taken a reskinned M:S. Energy may be getting a lot of flack for how its aged or boring, but Mission Space is probably the dullest thrill ride E-Ticket on property.
While there has always been overlap, they also attract different types of families looking for different types of experiences. The kiddie park thing is just how you connect the info I bring. As I previously mentioned, HM and SWA were never intended to be as overt as AE was. I strongly agree that HoP doesn't appeal to kids, or even a lot of adults, but there's nothing in there that's inappropriate for them content wise. I'll leave you with this question. If the tech was available, do you think Walt or the first gen. Imagineers would've built something like AE? Be honest. That's a made up metric that fits whatever you want it to fit so that you can always claim a disconnect. Yes.Let's not forget that one of the principal actors in AE was Jeffery Jones. He was arrested and convicted as a sexual offender against children in 2003. The story generated a lot of bad press for Disney. AE closed in October, 2003. Coincidence?
I have a strong love for it I'm gonna miss stupid judy lolIt's just not a great ride, and I know nobody who has a strong love for it.
I think not. It seems whole history of this attraction was a perfect storm of had PR just BEGGING for closure.Let's not forget that one of the principal actors in AE was Jeffery Jones. I would rather it go where it could sort of make sense instead of taking over half of Future world East, since WDW only adds lands now and we can't just have one Guardians attraction. If they are going to spend the money anyway maybe umm... put it in DHS in a new building.I'd actually prefer Energy if they're dead set on this because by all accounts we would end up with a much better ride than a reskinned M:S.
