Here is a terrible video of the Tomorrow's Child ending to SSE.

Me too, I sadly never experienced Horizons in person considering my first visit was November of 1999.SSE 94 was my Horizons
If you like dark rides you would like Horizons! If you like CoP, you would have loved Horizons. Horizons, IMHO was one of the best dark rides ever created!Me too, I sadly never experienced Horizons in person considering my first visit was November of 1999.
I have seen videos, I regret being unable to see it, too. For some reason my parents didn't take me to WDW for the first time until I was 9.If you like dark rides you would like Horizons! If you like CoP, you would have loved Horizons. Horizons, IMHO was one of the best dark rides ever created!
I am sorry you didn't get to ride it.
It's okay. At least you get to see the opening of all the new cool things coming to WDW!I have seen videos, I regret being unable to see it, too. For some reason my parents didn't take me to WDW for the first time until I was 9.
Maybe you should bump up the release of that video... or if you need a test screener, I am happy to volunteer!Dare I say I've a new Horizons edit coming too?
Is that sarcasm? Nothing Disney has done in recent years can compare to what they did in the 70s, 80s and 90s.It's okay. At least you get to see the opening of all the new cool things coming to WDW!
No sarcasm. Disney has done great things recently, like Mystic Manor, JttCotE, Shanghai Pirates, and RSR to name a few.Is that sarcasm? Nothing Disney has done in recent years can compare to what they did in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
I don't know, As long as Iger remains CEO, I don't see a very bright future. No sarcasm. Disney has done great things recently, like Mystic Manor, JttCotE, Shanghai Pirates, and RSR to name a few.
Pandora is going to be really cool and then 2 years later you have Star Wars land which has a Super E-ticket. I am hopeful for the future. Only time will tell for sure.
The plus side of never experiencing it is not having to mourn its loss.If you like dark rides you would like Horizons! If you like CoP, you would have loved Horizons. Horizons, IMHO was one of the best dark rides ever created!

I am no Iger fan, but they are actually building new rides now. I believe people will look back at the five-year period (2017-2021) as a great time for Disney attractions.I don't know, As long as Iger remains CEO, I don't see a very bright future.
Well said! The plus side of never experiencing it is not having to mourn its loss.
I like to look at it from a philosophical point of view. If it was supposed to be a depiction of life in the 21st Century, It probably closed at the right time. I will even admit SSE 94 had to change too but not the way they did it.The plus side of never experiencing it is not having to mourn its loss.
We still have no undersea colonies, space colonies or cool spaceships tending to our orange crops. Anyway, the first half of the ride was the future as it was imagined in the past.I like to look at it from a philosophical point of view. OK, but the premise should have been updated. We still have no undersea colonies, space colonies or cool spaceships tending to our orange crops. Anyway, the first half of the ride was the future as it was imagined in the past.
It did need updating (it was 16 years-old when it closed for good) but, the premise was fine. It was the combination of all of the Epcot pavilions - The Land, SSE (communication), The Living Seas and so on.OK, but the premise should have been updated.
