Then again I am not holding on to the Disney glory days as that ship has sailed years ago. Figment was botched decades ago and they got rid of Wonders of life so bring on the movies!
This seems like an admission that the parks, (all of them, not just Epcot) were once much better (the glory days) and since that "ship has sailed", you are completely fine with a lesser product and the ONLY possible solution is to use movies to prop it up?

And consider this dismaying observation....Frozen Ever After was the first wave of the IP invasion which many people claim is what will "save" Epcot, yet the most popular attractions at the park remain to be the ones WITHOUT a movie attached to them (Soarin, TT).

Bring back freaking Horizons!!!!!!!!!!
The day we have a colony on Mars or an underwater farm in a bubble it'll be relevant!
I'm starting to get angry!
Change is good. Yes. Change simply for the sake of change is not!
Now...who do I talk to?
Apparently all the children of families who vist WDW since They are by far the biggest excuse as to why Mulan needs a ride in China or Rats in France because, you know...all the parks We're created to keep children happy and content. It's not about having a great overall experience for the entire family. It's about the bored children whose parents can not find a way to make anything interesting unless their is a movie character to rely upon.

FEA is actually 60 minutes right now while TT and Soarin' are 40 and 30 respectively. Soarin' really needed that capacity boost.

Right! But I loved EPCOT as a child because it WAS so much different than the other parks. Architecturally it was stunning. The rides were non-threatening. There was so much to take in visually. If families visit WDW for 5-8 days, a day away from princesses, plush, etc. is a good idea I think. How about a little variety?

Exactly. It's a knee jerk reaction to try and get more clicks into a dying park and to hell with theme and story.

Why not try and attract guests with something that wouldn't be found in another park. Or just rename Epcot MK2.0.

Imagineering will come up with a much better name.

Just checked again and FEA is 20 while Soarin' is 35. Another shocker was Space Mountain at 5 :jawdrop:

Have the slow times returned?

And perhaps here to stay. This holiday season should make the picture a bit more clear, but everything that I'm hearing suggests some major worry from the higher-ups regarding the crowds this year around the holidays.

Can't imagine why attendance has dropped. They've only closed a half dozen attractions. And gee whiz, $132.00 to get into the Magic Kingdom seems perfectly reasonable! ( especially when they shoo you out at 7:30 to make way for MNSSHP )

but, but there's Frozen! and, and...umm characters dressed in Fall attire for the castle show! and, well, we don't have to sit on the curb for an hour waiting to watch the parade... gosh, that all sounds so exciting, I think I'll book my trip right now!

It's fluctuating every time I check but it seems consistent enough to be a slow time.

This reminded me of Chevy Chase flipping out in that one scene in Christmas Vacation where he finds out that he's been enrolled in the jelly of the month club instead of getting a Christmas bonus lol. Love it and completely agree.
