Clearly using the name wasn't an issue before unless Universal found something in the contract that did make it an issue? Or maybe disney just really want's to call it Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and they are fighting for that title which is something I could see chapek doing. As for other Marvel properties I think it's safe to say from my understanding of the tweets that disney is solely fighting for Guardians and the other stuff is a non starter. Better to logically think that before crazy rumors get out of hand.

Who is this guy and what makes you think he's a reliable source/insider? Any dufus can post crap like that and some of the things he says doesn't even make sense (Disney is A-Ok to give up/share content rights for one of the biggest licenses in the world over a theme park ride huh?)

Was that in DL or WDW? That could explain it.

Disney has limited abilities in using the Marvel name in the theme parks. Even on the west coast, they had to call the former Marvel installation "Super Hero HQ" with zero Marvel branding. Pretty difficult to build a Marvel area in DCA and not be able to refer to it as such like Carsland or Star Wars Experience.

I looked back at that past couple months of this tweets and he does post mainly about Disney, but he seems to be more Disneyland focused that Disney World. A lot of it seems to be repeating this that have been said on other sites. He posted the rumor about the Stitch becoming a Wreck-it-Ralph attraction a few weeks after Jim Hill floated the rumor.

The rumor of contract negotiations has been around for a while, it has even some up here from what I can remember.

There is another Strange Marvel Character that I could see in the mix, especially for expanded presence in Epcot's left side...definitely potential for Edutainment
