Ive alwags considered that a D ticket along with the likes of Mine Train, Frozen, etc

Rides that are well themed, have E potential, but are cut too short to reach that potential.

But the example hold true, the Kali queue is amazing...the ride is short and underwhelming.
After some quick searches both Kali and Frozen are 5 minutes long. That's actually not bad considering the length of some E Tickets. Frozen's just missing more detailed backgrounds and sets* and Kali is just missing any kind of interesting content other then "get on, get wet."

*Not being forced into an existing ride would've helped here.
It IS pretty frickin' cynical, isn't it? Exploiting guests' fondness for the ride by picking their pockets. Reminds me of the Maelstrom T-shirts TDO pushed when rumors of the Frozenstrom makeover emerged. Glad I didn't buy one (my uncle did, though).
I did too...

Though at least a minute and a half of Kali's ride time is on or before the lift hill :p

It is unfortunate that Kali turned out so unmemorable... I have been on it several times, I remember a lot of trees and bamboo, then inexplicably a fire and truck mudslide (The evils of logging in the rainforests causes fires) then waterfalls and then people shoot you with elephant squirt guns... Maybe it should have been more like the new Shanghai raft ride....though aside from the animatronic crocodile, that one looks kinda lame too...

Wait, I just had a BRILLIANT idea. Disney should get a deal with the WWE to make a New Day attraction. It would be a Big E-Ticket!
This is easily my favorite post not only here, but maybe on any message board I have ever posted on. Five stars.

And now I am thinking of some sort of unicorn themed ride where you help the New Day spread the power of positivity.

It gets a lot of hate because of what it replaced. Seabase Alpha and the Living Seas was an amazing, immersive experience, so while lots of people like Nemo, it's nowhere near as good as what came before, which many people miss experiencing.

I'd even make the argument that the Nemo ride isn't particularly good. Its set up is simply a rehash of the film, its show scenes are pretty underwhelming (though the rip tide with Crush is at least interesting), and even the reveal of the characters projected onto the fish tank is not particularly impressive. This is all putting aside the larger thematic and structural issues of having the ride as the centerpiece of a much, much larger pavilion experience that now lacks cohesion.

I'm also biased, though, given how I had no idea that Nemo was there until I first saw the building all redone and probably had a visible reaction to the Living Seas mural being changed and the splash rocks outside the pavilion now having the seagulls on them.

If the Imagination Pavilion could somehow tap into the process of vague notion, to brainstorming, to development, to pitching for funding, to building, to trouble-shooting and then to opening--that would be cool. Throughout, the idea of plussing could also be worked in. A landmark project that this happened to could be Epcot itself, or the original Disneyland, or the first Disney Cruiseship, or Sapceship Earth, or who knows what else? The Test Track idea, with designing your own car for performance, mileage, handling, etc . . . could be a hands-on part of this, only shifted to an entire attraction instead of just a car.

Why not start with, "Here's an empty area of land within Epcot. What should we do with it?" Then have touchscreen options, at various stages, and finally end with a virtual ride-through as the thrillier part of the attraction. Disney Quest used to have the build your own roller coaster attraction. It seems that that would be the perfect kind of thing for an Imagination Pavilion. Depending on what people want, it could also be used as something of a survey for guest desires.

Who knows if it'll ever happen? All I truly do know is that it would be better than the 5 senses and an upside down living room.

Kali is a D, great theming in the queue, what's in the ride is well executed, but it's way too short for what it is. Popeye and Bluto's is an E.

So apparently Vekoma is in the process of assembling a ride prototype and it's interesting because it reminds me of an omnimover / horizons hybrid. The idea here is riders would load with their backs to the track and move sideways. The ride could fairly effectively combine video screens with extreme ride vehicle angle changes, speed and drops while still maintaining a fairly high rider capacity. It would be an interesting concept for a flight through space.

Could we be getting something like this for the Guardians of the galaxy attraction?

At high speed sure but I'm thinking this is more likely to be on the order of the speed of a people mover not a roller coaster for the most part. It could have a few short drop sections but nothing on the order of a sideways loop or anything I would think.

The more I think about this the more upsetting it gets!

Epcot is such an unique place that you will not find anything like it anywhere in the world! It's a very special gift to us from a brilliant person. I can't believe the current management so ignorant that it's going to just throw that gift away! Why convert this unique place to something generic like 6 flags or Universal? If I want to ride coasters, I have plenty of options around where I live, such as King's Dominion or even Busch Gardens has great rides. But If want to "Epcot", there is only one place in the world that I can do this.

Once Epcot is no more, i doubt anyone else will build anything like it anytime soon. This makes me really :arghh::mad::cry::hungover:. We spend solid 2 days out of 7 days when we visit. That's with a now 8 year old kid.

Epcot is not bad (I don't think it's bad at all!) because it's lacking rides or attractions. It's bad because it's been neglected. All it needs is some updates and it will be a solid park again.

Can we petition the white house to designate Epcot as a world heritage site or something?! There is got to be something we can do to make the management stop from killing Epcot!

EPCOT Center was a unique place. Now it's evolving into Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
