EPCOT Center was a unique place. Now it's evolving into Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Busch gardens is a nice place and visited a few times when they used to do free beer classes. I haven't been there since I found WDW and specially Epcot. Same with the universal.

Horizons system moved like this...not intense at all...but allowed you to be seamlessly suspended over the sets...which was amazing...
One of my favorite aspects of this attraction was the RV's. Changing elevation and being able to look straight, up OR DOWN and see more of the sets. Plus, the system allowed you to be in the middle of the giant Imax screens, so you were surrounded by the movie. So cool. I miss Horizon so much. :inlove::cry:

So apparently Vekoma is in the process of assembling a ride prototype and it's interesting because it reminds me of an omnimover / horizons hybrid. The idea here is riders would load with their backs to the track and move sideways. The ride could fairly effectively combine video screens with extreme ride vehicle angle changes, speed and drops while still maintaining a fairly high rider capacity. It would be an interesting concept for a flight through space.

There's another company that has a similar model...
Combine your two quotes into one theory and I think you just confirmed the next IP-based ride. It's Up and you take a ride through Carl Fredricksen's house

Could we be getting something like this for the Guardians of the galaxy attraction?

At high speed sure but I'm thinking this is more likely to be on the order of the speed of a people mover not a roller coaster for the most part. It could have a few short drop sections but nothing on the order of a sideways loop or anything I would think.

I wish people on this site wouldn't take things so seriously. It's a possibility not a likelihood.

All we have seen is a piece of track... we don't know if this is a rollercoaster either...
While capable of having a dark ride style component, this is a prototype track for a new twist on an established type of rollercoaster.

Well, Deadpool, but that's more a result of Joe Kelly being an excellent writer.
He pretty much slapped Spiderman with Deathstroke. His first comics were horrible. Once they got it from a sadistic comedy point of view..it became good. And not thanks to liefeld.

Yes but it wasn't a roller coaster.
what if it had a kuka arm style "hand"?
imagine the vertical car that holds the kuka arm and then the kuka arm holds the passager cars.
so when the "fast" part of the ride starts, the arm retracts and keeps the people looking forwards and not sideways.
