Great Movie Ride and the apparent lack of Kubrick

Yeah, film critics totally matter. Look, dude, it's a bomb, a disaster, a stinkeroo. There aren't enough foreign markets left out there to make it anything like a success. There will be no more Muppet movies. There won't be any Muppet expansion in the parks. You're just going to have to be okay with that.

People misuse those terms all the time.

Domestically, it recouped it's production budget. That's not great. It lost money domestically. But it will turn a profit. If it does well on video, another sequel may even be possible. I wouldn't bet against another Muppet movie at some point in the future.

Point being, Muppets Most Wanted was a box office disappointment. All of the phrases you used are a gross overstatement.

How fun would it be to take Mission Space and creep it up! Add something with Alien or some crazy thing like that.. and then use the same ride vehicle and make it be you escaping...

That would be appropriate, considering the stomach scene at the end of Alien reminds me of how I've felt after riding M:S.

It would definitely make the orange version worth the intense rating! :)

Why do you hate muppets so much? Did a sock with eyes terrorize you when you were a child?

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
All the more reason not to change the scenes.
Great movies tend to stay great.

When I first rode the attraction as a kid, I hadn't seen any of those movies except Mary Poppins, The Wizard of Oz, and Raiders. At this point, motivated somewhat by the attraction, I've seen almost all of them.

I was never motivated to see any of them. They just seem so boring. But, that's just the way I see them. .-.

Much like Chris Cooper's character from Muppets '11, MP can't actually laugh. All the other children would laugh at the Muppets good-natured antics, and MP would just stand there and say "nervous chuckle" because he was incapable of actually nervously chuckling. And he swore REVENGE.

Dude, do you think you're actually upsetting me with your Muppet fixation? I think it's funny. A little pitiable, but funny. Hey, focus your frustration over the film's massive failure on me if you want, if it makes you feel better.

Hating hand puppets would be a waste of emotional energy. But, I will admit, it's a slightly better expenditure than worshipping them and endlessly defending them on message boards. Matt can't get over that the last Muppet movie bombed spectacularly, so he's taking it out on me. His latest defense is "But 75% of the critics liked it!" Pitiable.

The film was not a "massive failure". Repeating misinformation does not make it so. It just costs you credibilty.
