I'm not too good at this, so at this point I'll say anyone but Brazil :lookaroun (my apologies to Brazilians ).

 I just love that!!!!!! I hope MKCustodial doesn't see that.. he'll kill me for my lack of nationalism.:hammer: But how can you be a patriot when you were born in the wrong country??? Well, let's change the subject... People here are nuts about this World Cup!!!! Offices and schools changing hours because of the games... lots of sweepstakes, commercials, promotions... people wearing clothes with the colors of the flag (which are green and yellow)... all the streets are decorated with the country's colors (I just hate it!!! Can't stand this green and yellow anyomre...)... everyone is preparing themselves to watch the games... :hurl:

Speaking of Green and Yellow... the real fun will be when Brazil plays Australia. Even though the Australian flag is Red, White and Blue, the team colors are Green and Yellow as well. Be interesting to see who wears what color jersey when they play each other.

Why is that?? The Brazilian players wear green and yellow because these are the colors of their flag. I'd say Brazil would wear green and yellow, then... Unless the Australian wear the green shirt and yellow shorts, as Brazilians wear the opposite. That would be funny anyways!

I hate the combination, anyway. It looks like a parrot! Right now, Rio de Janeiro looks green and yellow all over. It's just like the US near Independence day, with Red, White and Blue decorations. The funny thing is that Brazilain people are more patriotic near the World Cup then on their Independence Day!

It would either be that one team wears all green with yellow trim and the other wears all yellow with green trim... or green jersey for one team and yellow jersey for the other. Not sure why Australia uses green and yellow, but I'll see if I can find out.

Edit: And here's the reasoning behind the team colors of Australia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_and_gold

Cool info, Number_6!!!! I just have one question: when you say "jersey", you mean the shirt or the shorts???:veryconfu Sorry...I've still got some English to learn, specially when it comes to sports! lol The Brazilian team wears yellow shirt with green trim and blue shorts. That's the shirt regular people buy (except for me, of course), and many people are already wearing that on the streets. The 2nd option is a blue shirt with... maybe white shorts??? I am not sure.

Jersey is the name for the shirt. Technically, in England the shirt and shorts together are referred to as "kit."

lol Neither do I!
Even wordse I really mean it...
20 people running like idiots on a field, trying to get a round ball in some net between 2 poles... and once they try to kick it in some other idiot, called a keeper, stands in front of the net and catches that ball... after that the "keeper" kicks that ball out of his way again... and the whole thing starts over again... So far for Fun!!! :lookaroun :lookaroun :lookaroun

Thank you Corrus for making you opinion quite clear. However, since this is a thread for those of us who do enjoy the sport it might be more polite for you to refrain from any additional comment on this subject.
