Not directly Star Wars related, but did anybody see the Disney+ doc on John Williams? Pretty good stuff. I knew the guy was prolific, but I didn't realize he was THAT prolific. If you grew up in the 70s and 80s, his music was basically the soundtrack of your childhood. Hearing those trumpet blasts in the Star Wars opening fanfare, Superman theme and Raiders March still gets me all these years later.

"I'll take "Announced Star Wars Movies that Never Get Made for 200, Alex".
This pair of directors lauded for their work on an HBO series were picked to create a new Star Wars movie until it was found out they phoned in the last season of that series, which everyone hated, and were then kicked off anything Star Wars.

Here's an idea. Contact George Lucas and see if he wants to write and direct a Star Wars movie. I'm sure he is available and has nothing to do.

Why would George step into this quagmire of a fandom, its not like they treated him well the last time he was involved and lead to him selling in the first place.

The best you would get from George is as a consultant and maybe producer credit. And as much as I love George, I would not not want him in full control of a film. I'm a prequel apologist, but I can still recognize their problems. Mainly the dialogue. Lol

George seems to be more than happy in his retirement. I doubt he's coming back in any capacity.

It will never happen, but hey, if they could entice Stephen Spielberg to do a one-shot Star Wars film... From what I've seen of the Skeleton Crew previews, it looks like they are really shooting for a 1980s Spielberg vibe.
