Garden Grill restaurant permanently immobile? No.

I know this probably sounds like one of those overly-dramatic "vacation ruined!!1!" type of comments, but if true, I won't eat there again.

I don't care enough about characters and while it's good, there are better places in Epcot for food.

The big draw for me *is* the rotation...I love when the restaurant rotates around to the farm house--I've spent so much time trying to pick up on the little details in the upstairs bedroom.
If the restaurant on top the Seattle Space Needle can still rotate, every effect in Epcot should still be working.

I've always wanted to dine at Garden Grill, but I wasn't sure if the food was any good. I just thought the rotating dining room was a pretty good feature.

I'm sure they'll fix the turntable, let's just hope it's as soon as possible.

We just ate there tonight. There are semi-permanent screens in front of the restaurant with plants to provide privacy to the people dining that are facing out towards the open space. The CM said they stopped trying at night about a week again to fix and it didn't seem likely. Our reservation was for 7 pm about 1/3 of tables were empty. CM said they are getting a lot of cancellations for to the restaurant not rotating, but just way too expensive to fix. I'm sad....
Oh by the way...our table was the one right above the rooster and dog barking in the farmhouse scene...lovely

Too expensive to fix a moving platform? But WDW has no problem with $11 hot dogs, $17 to park, and $13 for a rubber band souvenir. Plus ripping out trees and putting in concrete can't be cheap. Guess the 2 to 3 billion number wasted on MM minus being tossed around could be accurate. Gotta make those fake numbers for Wall Street.

Epcot lives and dies by food and beverage. If people are cancelling like you say (and no reason to think otherwise, I sure as heck won't eat there if it doesn't rotate) then I bet that will increase the likelihood that it will be eventually repaired.

Well at least they didn't say "Elsa" did it, and called it the the new "frozen overlay" of the Garden Grill:)

Arriving in October and have been waiting for this thread to say something positive about it working again. If not, will definitely cancel current reservation.
