Garden Grill restaurant permanently immobile? No.

Well, yes, but you could give that same response to about every question on the forums...

How about this?

Here at the Walt Disney World Resort, we are constantly evaluating our operations and offerings to provide a better, more magical experience for our guests. After decades of successful operation, we determined that the gentle rotation of The Garden Grill is powered by technology that has become obsolete, in addition to making a very small percentage of our guests mildly ill, as motion is unexpected in a theme park once full of ride-through attractions. The reduction in ride-through attractions is a direct result of valuable guest feedback, who let us know loud and clear that they prefer high-end shopping and dining opportunities. The Garden Grill, offering a ride-through dining experience that was more intense than we'd planned, will now be a stationary venue. Guests will be able to spend lots of quality time with the same four characters they can meet in dozens of other park locations, while enjoying farm-fresh "all-you-care-to-eat" fare and staring at a blank green wall.

Premium seating, with a view of the classic Living With the Land attraction, will be available 180 days in advance. Premium seating at The Garden Grill includes additional rolls, a pre-autographed photo of Mickey, and a commemorative "Premium Grillz" pin featuring Chip and Dale.

New pricing for The Garden Grill is as follows: $56.99 per adult (ages 9 & up) and $42.99 per child (ages 3-9). During holiday periods, dinner is $63.99 per adult and $49.99 per child. Premium seating is $84.99 per adult and $70.99 per child. Disney Vacation Club and Annual Passholder discounts are only available for seatings Monday through Wednesday, from 4-4:30pm.

We look forward to seeing you at the new and improved Garden Grill!

I've never had the pleasure of dining there, but over the many times I've been in the pavilion, I don't think I would like to sit there right in front as people walk to the lower levels.
Agreed. Luckily, in the 2 times I did eat there, I was seated right at that very area to begin with, but rotated away from there shortly after.

How is shutting down the rotation and improvement? $oundS like $pin to me to hide the fact that Di$ney doe$ not want to $pend money on new technology to keep it moving or repair the old technology. Echo of the Yeti.

If they can't get it to work, then GOOD- close it down. It's not like the food was great.
Seriously, the idea that they will never fix this is just so pathetic, I can't even.

I can't imagine how many people will/would cancel any reservations or not plan to go there due to this. The ability to see scenes from the attraction is the only reason we were going to try it in September.

Assuming they even tell people. Most reservations are with automated apps these days, right? So Joe Bloe and the Bloe family show up and are told "This way to your table. What's that? Oh sorry, it's not rotating today."

'Or anyday' goes unsaid.
