Galaxy's Edge: History, Current State, and Future

The problem is space. Coasters take up a ton of room, especially if you are trying to have it contain show scenes. I'd hate to get a Seven Dwarves/Oaken Sled coaster that is 30 seconds long, contains no thrills, and only looks good to those walking by.
I dont know Forbidden Journey and Gringots are not bad for the robotic arm ride. That style of ride system could work well for a immersive attraction that could give the illusion of speed and thrills. Doesnt Intamin own the ride system?

The Falcon needs side gun pods with full targeting and range of movement. Pushing a button on the wall has nothing to do with aiming is not fun.
A joystick with a color-coded reticle on the screen would have been cool. Of course you'd be at the mercy of the pilots, and most I've ridden with can't keep the ship smooth.

More consistent recognizable characters in the land, a stunt show, new MF missions, some of those autonomous droids bumbling around on the lower show-flow in the MF queue and the restaurant concept. Basically "season of the force" up that land, it doesn't actually need much in the way of over the top spend.

A bantha mover, while cool, can not be reintegrated into the land. That version of the land is long gone. It wasn't a last minute cut, the land was reworked without it many versions ago.

Changing Rise characters is literally meaningless and a token move. One the general public could care less about. I'm NOT opposed to the original trio appearing in the land, but it doesn't make Rise (an incredibly well received ride in GSATs) better. There are 100s of other more pressing ways to spend money in Disneyland.

If they want to spend some actual low-grade money, build an indoor musical-revue Tiki-Room/CBJ like experience out behind Pooh. With droids and aliens and critters. It would fill a significant gap in Disneyland's overall menu, which is one of the very, very, very few things Magic Kingdom clearly does so much better. Luke and an Ewok can be the maestros, for all I care.

I'm interested in seeing what the Falcon upgrade will look like. Will it seem pretty minor by adding Mando and Grogu or will the entire experience be improved? Let's face it, this ride should be better than it is.

Not going out on a limb there…

Instead of themed to a failed movie that bombed 7 years ago…

Why not have it be the end of Jedi? It’s only a no brainer…but apparently only to those that get Star Wars.

Yeah the ride is better if set in OT era. But, it would still be underwhelming IMO. My hope is with technology advancements the ride is better/more fun regardless of the timeline.
There I agree

Uncommon opinion: Disney has NEVER made a good Star Wars ride. Their reliance on simulators due mostly to weather and age concerns has made very dull rides.

I love theme parks…so I don’t advocate for all coasters and speed.

But never having a Star Wars ride with any speed/gravity is a 40 year mistake

So...another Death Star-based simulator? I'm good. I would just like something that has better gameplay, more variations, and randomized missions with some more in-cabin effects/surprises.

Like, I'd love to see something happen when the pilot doesn't pull the lever for light speed, like the ship stall out. Too many times I sit in the Engineer seat and watch some idiot pilot squander their spot by just using the joystick. Also, there should be a "breaks" button or something for the breaks gag that is hard to achieve, but achievable. Once again, adding more variations.

Rise of the Resistance is amazing, I would agree with you on the other two rides, but Rise absolutely delivers.

I think it’s pretty lame…but that’s mostly because they built a monument to 3 of the most clueless, terrible movies ever seen.

A retheme would take it to all new levels…and I’m sure they could get somebody to do James earl Jones voice.

In fact…when the board appoints me as ceo next week after the stock goes down to $6.50 a share…it will be the first thing I announce.

I don’t disagree that retheming it to the OT would improve it but, even as is, I feel like I’m in Star Wars on it.

It would improve it but I’m not sure by how much or that it would be worth the time, energy and money. Those resources would be better used towards building a brand new OT Stars Wars ride.

While I might get an ironic laugh from watching them drag Harrison Ford out of his comfy chair to replace the Poe video in the first pre-show, it would be me enjoying it ironically since Ford would be so cranky in his performance.

As for replacing Kylo with Vader, I think it's a one-to-one. Kylo is a fantastic character, as is Vader. Both are intimidating and wear similar outfits. Would they replace Finn's AA's with a geriatric Han to match Harrison's pre-show video?

The sequel trilogy had one good movie, one really good movie, and one terrible movie. Kind of like the OT. Although I would take Return of the Jedi or Rise of Skywalker.
