Did they give a time line for the festival center??
Did they give a time line for the festival center??
They didn’t give much info on anything. Chapek did say something about Epcot being ready for WDW’s 50th, but he probably meant phase one or something because there’s no way everything will be even close to finished by then.Did they give a time line for the festival center??
Why does the "Future" automatically mean "Technology"?
And we’re discovering comic books and insulated metal panels?Discovery requires technology because it’s about the tools used to make new discoveries. They decided to switch from the tool (future) to what’s being discovered.
Didn’t this happen with Spiderman with technology? And we’re discovering comic books and insulated metal panels?
Out of all the D23 announcements—most of which were disappointing for long-term WDW fans—the new Epcot lands feel “right.” Future World West/East worked for the park’s original purpose, but since this is the new direction, at least the areas have names that blend into Epcot nomenclature.PHOTOS - New concept art shows more of Epcot's redesign including new names for Future World areas

Not sure if intentional but I like it!Does anyone else think the floating garden building is very reminiscent of The Jetsons architecture?View attachment 402365View attachment 402366View attachment 402367
I believe the thing to the right is an escalator.I am trying to tell if the center column is meant/going to look like the one on SSE and if the thing slight to the right is a waterfall.

Yep. Tool making is one aspect of human behavior. The Anthro course I took way back when was only introductory but from what I remember, it dealt with far more than just humans ability to create better and better tools. It also focused on aspects of human societal evolution such as cooperation between individuals, language, and culture. It also touched upon subjects such as the biological evolution of man. Anthropology studies far more than just humans relationship with technology. It's simply the study of mankind using physical artifacts. Physical artifacts can be contemporaneous technology, but it can also be bones, teeth, burrows, coprolites, etc., etc., etc.I dunno. Ever take an anthropology course?

A little to the left, I'll assume.

But I'm sure you already knew that.
More central than the grouping of humans into familial and geographic tribes?Yes, but tool usage, e.g. technology, is a central feature, is it not?
