Fun Character Experiences

We had a couple special little character moments from our last trip that I wanted to share, and would like to hear from you about yours.

We ran into Donald at Mexico in Epcot. He just happen to be my nephew's favorite, so he was thrilled. The kids had both gotten into the pin trading thing pretty heavy (about broke me buying pins!), so Donald made a big deal about checking out Stephen's pins and acting offended because he didn't have any Donald pins on his lanyard! We had to explain that he was collecting the Donald pins, and they were all safety tucked away in MeMaw's bag. That made Donald very happy, and gave us all a good chuckle!

The second one was at MVMCP. We were waiting in line to see Alice. Both kids were also into getting autographs from all the characters, I kept stressing that they were to ask politely, not just stick their books into the characters' faces. So Hannah walks up to Alice and asks, "May I please have your autograph?", and Alice replies, in her proper English accent, "What lovely manners you have! Did you learn them from Mary Poppins?" It really made Hannah's day, and made her feel proud.

Well Stitch is my all time favorite character and has been for almost 7 years now. I collect anything that has Stitch. So I was in MK in October and I was on the TTA and as my bf and I are going around I see Stitch in his usual spot and I start saying "Stitch wait I'm coming" just cuz my bf was videotaping me. So we get off, and I run on line. I'm next so my bf gives my camera and the photopass card to the photopass person. I go to Stitch and just say "I love you" and Stitch gives me this huge hug which thankfully the photopass person got. It is my favorite picture but my photobucket is not working now :-(

Then 3 days later durning EMH I was running to TSMM when I saw Stitch and got off track to meet Stitch. Then I went back to him an hour later because Lilo joined him and he remembered me!

Lastly I meet Mike & Sulley from Monsters Inc and when my bf and I walked up to them, Sulley raised his arms and growled, and all I said was, "Sorry but you didn't scare me" and he got upset and crossed his arms in the picture. And I feel back for Mike with those arms because my bf still brings up how Mike touched his behind :ROFLOL:

We were at MNSSHP last Oct on Halloween and we went down the Alice in Wonderland trail on the path that goes behind the TIS. I met the Queen of Hearts and she put her arm around mine and my mum and dad take a picture but then she wouldn't let go of my arm and my dad saw this and said "you can keep him if you want to" and so the Queen of Hearts starts to walk of with me.
Then when I got to Alice she put her hands on her hips and starts telling me off for being late as I had my 2002 t-shirt on and so I said I was the white rabbit in disguise and she found that intriguing and asked me lots of questions. Then the Mad Hatter turned up and Alice tells him the story and then all of a sudden we heard thundering footsteps and Alice jumped out of her skin b/c Goofy had ran up towards us all from behind and made us all jump.

We had two character experiences this past December one fun and the other nice.

We were at the Epcot at Innovations for the Disney Visa picture and it was with Mickey and Pluto. When Mickey saw the Dream Fast pass on my son he made a big thing about it. When we went to leave he took my sons hand and made like he wanted to go with us to use the fast passes.

THe other was DHS we were in line to have our kids picture taken with the characters from Bolt. We were next in line and the CM came over and asked if we would mind waiting a few minutes as they had a kid from Make a wish foundation. We said no problem. The kid was wheeled up in a wheel chair and stood to hug the characters, well my DW was watching and got tears in her eyes. Afterwards Mittens went over and gave her a big hug.

The CM in costume should be commended for what they do.

I have a lot of great character experiences (since meeting the characters is my favorite thing to do). But here is my most recent experience:
I was eating at LTT for the last time :)cry::cry::cry:). Chip came to my table, and decided that he wanted to see my autograph book. He then proceded to act out different poses for all the characters (for Mr. Incredible, he did muscles, for the princesses he did girly poses, and so on). It was so funny watching him act all of them out. The best one had to be Dale's though. He waved his hand in front of his armpit, and did the circle by the head sign with his hand (like he was saying Dale was crazy).

Oh, thought of another one! This was back in 2005. Cinderella's Surprise Celebration was still running. So the characters would come down in front of the castle for pictures in between shows. I was waiting to see Mickey. I don't remember what transpired to it, but Mickey got down on one knee and proposed! I have the best picture too:

Minnie is always short, but one time she was very very short. She was even shorter than some of the children. Anyways Minnie was kissing all the guests. I am 6'3 and when I went to get a photo with her she wanted to kiss me also and that turned out to be a very funny and cute  I took one of the photos and turned it into a shirt and the shirt has the photo on it and it says "Minnie Mouse and Tiny Tim"

What is also funny is when I get a photos with Mickey Mouse and he sees the photo/photos of Minnie kissing me ;)

This photo is not the one used for the shirt that I talk about in this post, but it was taken at the same time as the photo that I did use for the shirt that I talk about in this post

At Ohanas breakfast, Lilo stole all of our jelly from the table, ran across the restaurant and threw them at Stitch. He then tripped Lilo and came to our table to steal my sons drink because he "gave" her the jelly. The kids still laugh about it.

Luckily, we've had quite a few over the years. A couple of our favorites were with Minnie Mouse in the Visa Card area. It wasn't busy when we went so the family was in there for a good 15 minutes. The one my kids laugh about is with me giving Minnie a big kiss on the nose. We both have our front leg kicked up behind us in a silly pose. That same session, my DD who was 5 and my DS who was 2, curled up on the floor with Minnie and just goofed around. It was very cute. My DD also went to lunch in Cindy's castle that trip, but then she saw Princess Aurora again on our second day back at MK and she must have heard us talking, but she asked my daughter "Do you remember seeing me at lunch in the castle?" My daughter lit up thinking she was the coolest thing in the world.

This past trip the little guy fell asleep shortly before we got in the Visa booth so he missed out, but Mickey and Goofy kept on looking in on him and messing around with the stroller...again, very cute.

Also this last trip we were there over Father's day and when we got up to Ariel(my daughter was supposed to ask, but she got shy), I asked her if she wished King Triton a Happy Father's day. She replied, "I sure did. In fact, I made him a sponge cake." Great job playing off of us and staying in character.

Fun stuff from my last trip:

"You have your own personal wing flapper?" Mad Hatter in response to me saying how I flew to WDW and that I didn't flap my arms myself because someone else did if for me.

"Now we've got to do this picture properly" said Mary Poppins instructing me that a gentleman takes a ladies arm in a photo.

Alice drawing a picture in the book I carried around with me in response to me showing a picture of her and talking about our favorite parts of the film, er I mean her going to Wonderland. (at Akershus)

Aladdin saying I look like a younger version of him (never thought there was a resemblance...)

While I was at the Art of Disney Animation at DHS I met Frozone...We had are little handshakes and how you doings and just before we took the picture he read my T-shirt...

Now I need to explain...If you have heard of the Comedian Dane Cook he mentions about if you saw someone wearing a Superman shirt and shooting them in the chest..here's the soundclip...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTo8UQkWetM. As the clip says I was wearing a T-shirt that I got from his show which says "I Bleed if you shoot me in the chestplate." This made Frozone snicker and laugh and was surprised that quite a few characters & cm's knew of the joke...which resulted in this fun pic...

I have a few, but the two that stick out the most both include Dale. The first would be when he danced away with me at the EPCOT Character spot waving to bye to everyone. The second was at LTT when he noticed DD & my shirt. (Chip N' Dale) then he noticed that DH & DS's shirt did not have them on it. He was very intent in asking them where there shirt was?? It was very cute, we caught it on video and it is my favorite moment!
