What I want to know is, what went wrong with her performance?
She seemed jittery and nervous, she and the orchestra were
never in sync, the tempo was WAY fast, and she blew the last
note.

If you're going to be honest, you have to say, she's a great talent, it's
a great song, but there was something seriously wrong with that last night.

Her voice sounded rough all the way through. I wonder if she is sick or just vocally worn out. She is in rehearsals for a new Broadway show. She also is well know for her live TV stage fright. The song was also a shorter condensed version.

It really was a shame. Her voice is an amazing instrument, but it was clear from the first note that she wasn't at her healthiest. Between rehearsing for this and a Broadway show, I can see why, but she is so much better than last night's performance. There were definitely moments of that Idina brilliance that we've come to love/expect, but it just wasn't consistent. And oy, that last note. I remember after she finished with Wicked, the show had completely wrecked her vocal chords and it took her some time to rebuild her voice. Hopefully she doesn't have to go through that again.

I think it's the same scenario, I am afraid her vocal cords are in some trouble. All I know is that isn't her best and she knew it too you could tell on her face. Shame too, funny thing is everyone who doesn't know her thought it was fantastic at least in the media it seems.

I mean, compared to the other Original Song performances, it was still levels above them. And they gave her a standing ovation at the end, which I thought was a nice gesture considering the scope of the song. But seeing her face at the end, which clearly showed that she knew it wasn't her best, I wanted to give her a hug. But hey, she looked fabulous, and anyone who's a fan of her knows that when she gets it right, she gets it SO RIGHT.

Well despite many of the haters ( I love how this is a buzzword)

"Hater" as a buzzword is so 2013. :p It's also a shortcut for those who don't care to discuss why they disagree with someone. That someone is just a hater, that's all.

I'm very pleased with Frozen's success. WDAS is no longer an also-ran to Pixar. You think I'm not happy about that? I've been WAITING for that. Sure, I wish it had happened with a better film, and it would totally have rocked my world had it happened with a 2D film, but at least it finally happened. That is awesome. Yay for Frozen getting the Oscar (big surprise). But BOO to Get A Horse not getting one (although I admit I haven't seen the other shorts that were nominated, so I've no idea if the winner, Mr. Hublot, is actually a better toon).

Idina certainly did look nervous. Can you imagine the pressure of that performance? I'm guessing that they shortened the song during rehearsals when she seemed freaked out, because the other ones were full versions. She still sounded ok, but agree that she was off her game.

As for Demi, I have seen her perform "Let it Go" on several live shows and really think that she struggled with the notes. She could never have pulled it off. Idina at 3/4 speed is still a thrill to watch.
