All true. What's really nice is that I had the opportunity to see it on opening day (actually the night before at a special showing) so I got to experience it without all of the hype. My wife, who is the single biggest of movies that I have ever met, looked at me in the eyes and asked how she hadn't heard anything about the film prior to the release......and that it was absolutely, instantly, one of her favorite movies of all time. I turned to my 20 year old son on the other side of me and he simply said..............."Wow", and then asked me to download the soundtrack on the way home. He wanted to go and see it again the next night, and then again when my older kids were home for Christmas, and then the sing along version..........but it was really that first moment after the film that I realized how special I thought the movie really was. I really thought Disney blew the marketing campaign with that stupid teaser, and that the movie was probably not very good. And in that first moment after the credits started to roll, I really felt like it was the start of something special. The last time I really felt that level of surprise and delight was, honest to goodness, The Little Mermaid. Total surprise and total delight.
I hope Idina KILLS IT tonight!
