It is well ahead of Tangle performance ( domestically ). It will almost for certain hit 300 million and if it maintains it's current legs it will finish well above 300m.

It will finish 2nd to The Lion King and only behind Pixar's TS3 and Nemo.

It's well deserved. Such a complete film... you have to nitpick to find faults.

Everyone should see this twice. Look at the song lyrics before seeing it a 2nd time... they all tie together and foretell much of the plot.

The animation is stunning. Disney has caught up to Pixar and passed it in some cases. ( struggles with hands however )

The 'First Time In Forever Reprise' ( Elsa & Anna in the ice castle ) is amazing. Reflections and transparencies in the ice, snow, swirling wind blown hair. Blows me away.

This will be a musical. It would be a fitting replacement to Aladden in DCA if they have't already developed something else.
I agree with all of the above listed and in my opinion one of the greatest songs in the film, and one of the most beautifully animated and articulate scene Disney has ever put in an animated feature, the tension Elsa faces with the music and the snow get me every time.

So funny. I was watching this video as you were posting it. It's not a super high quality video but still shows what likely is the most complex animation I've seen.

Between this, do you want to build a snowman, Let it Go and the final act of true love... hard to pick a best scene.

I was lucky to see this on the Disney Dream in the Walt Disney Theater... at least 800 people... maybe more. After Anna's sacrifice you could hear a pin drop. Never experienced anything like that in a theater before.

This scene will probably go down as my favorite one. Lyrically alone it's worth it, just listening to the contrasting voices of both sisters ("I'm such a fool, I can't be free" / "For the first time in forever, you don't have to be afraid"). Also Elsa's subtle look tempting to go back with Anna only to reject her again, and Anna without realizing is pushing her sister to, once again, hurt her with her powers. Also the way Elsa turns to the ice mirror when she says "There's so much fear!" or how she says she can't control the curse, looking up, presumably towards her parents. There's just so much that is right in this scene. I'm completely in love with it.

So true, whats great is that in this scene you see how directly affected elsa's powers are by her emotions. The minute Anna says she set off an eternal winter everywhere snow begins to fall in the room. But what I love the most is how Anna isn't afraid of her sister even though she has every reason to be. Instead she approaches her in the middle of the storm inside and tries to calm her down. Even though she fails she still wants to leave with elsa, I just can't believe some people think this film is anything but amazing. So much symbolism in it.

I know. Even the post-credits scene has meaning. It's easy to miss at first, but it's one of those things that when you think about it, you're smacking yourself on the forehead saying, "Of COURSE!"

This movie is all about bad parenting.

It was hard for me to imagine Elsa completely blocking out Anna that quickly and for so long without giving an explanation. Other than that - I thought the music was great, the animation at times amazing and the pace of the movie enjoyable.
I was surprised how much I liked Olaf.

2 thumbs up from me and my 12 yr old daughter!

I hate to agree with this...but I do. They had terrible parents. I wasn't able to put a thumb on what bothered me about the film, but that's it in a nutshell. The entire opening didn't inspire me to care about either character, and didn't involve enough of the parents (outside to show that they were scared and borderline emotionally abusive) for me to care either.

I don't think it was Elsa who had an issue blocking out her sister, rather the opposite.

However, I thought it was a terrible back-story that could have been (and should have been) fleshed out a bit more.

You nailed it.

I didn't get that at all. They seemed like good parents doing the best they could in extremely challenging and confusing circumstances. If you want to criticize anyone, yell at the Troll Elder, aka Captain Vague. Who do you think you are, Yoda? A little clarity never killed anyone!

Merry Christmas everyone! As of yesterday, Frozen has grossed $204 million, earning $4.7 million on Christmas Eve and surpassing the final domestic total of Tangled in just 33 days (28 if you don't count the first 5). This movie is becoming a juggernaut at the box office and rightfully so. Hoping the success propels this film to a musical stage adaption sooner than later in the future.

I agree, I think they were good parents trying to make the best of a situation they weren't equipped for, they loved their daughters very much, but they made a bad judgement call. I got the feeling Elsa was a daddy's girl from the film. But what is sad is that the parents never had the chance to correct their mistake, they left a pretty sad legacy for both of their kids, one that thankfully Anna was able to fix.

It would be wonderful if this film gets the broadway treatment much like beauty and the beast and Lion king did, which was about 4 to 3 years after their initial release.

One can only hope it will be transferred to the stage with the same justice that was given to Lion King and Beauty & the Beast. My main concern is how they might pull off the snow and Elsa's powers. I fear the overuse of digital projections and screens.

I was thinking the exact same thing, however lighting can be very useful for a lot of it! But for sure they are going to run into some difficulty there. But a fake snow storm would be awesome in a theater, maybe even have the audience get snowed on a couple of times.
