Frozen ride replacing Maelstrom?

How is it not a bad idea?

In space cadet coo coo bazaaro opposite land, I'm sure it's an amazing idea. Unfortunately that is also where our decision making is done as well.

First off, I'm not going to answer a question framed like that. Second, I don't think I'll convince anyone here, as they've already made up their minds. I've made my points about this in both this thread way back and others.

If people want to wring their hands and complain about something we don't even know for sure is coming yet, they're free to do so. I just think all the outrage being shown here is both hyperbolic and premature.

So if there was no outrage and the complaints never made it to ears that could right this wrong, would that be worse? If this ends up being true which there is no indication that it isn't, how silly will we look for not voicing concern?

C'mon, we all know that if this ride gets built that the gift shop you get dumped into will be renamed as Oaken's Trading Post. But if they add a sauna, that will be worth it.

It's Florida. 9 months out of the year you step outside...instant sauna.

I guess consistency is important to me when it comes to dropping thousands to be entertained.

And then egotistically spread as Unassailable Fact, because someone with a little too much appreciation of himself says it should be, and we all cower under our beds accordingly, and attack those who AREN'T cowering from imaginary fears as "troublemakers" or "disloyal", or what have you.

A Rumor is "Might happen", News is "Already happening", and even the "source" got those a little too disingenuously confused to begin with.

OK. What's your deal with @pheneix ? You obviously have a personal grudge and insist on continuing to attack the guy. Since you are filling the thread up with these attacks we at least deserve to know what your beef is with him.

Many of us have been around long enough to know that a lot of rumors never turn out to be anything. This is the news and rumors forum so if every time someone posted a rumor they heard they got jumped on and demanded to provide proof there would be no forum. Just because people are engaging in a discussion about the rumor doesn't mean that we all believe it will definitely happen. If you don't believe that the rumor is true that's fine. It's OK to post your opinion and disagree. It's not very productive to just continue to post attacks. And for the record I'm not one of the posters here who is always "rooting" for negative things. I am not a fan of this idea, but it seems to have some legs since multiple people are talking about it. It's worth discussing.

I don't believe that. I think there is a better chance that just the ride gets redone. Frozen ride within the Norway pavilion.

I am actually excited for the Frozen addition to Epcot. If they can push it open for 2015 all the better. I just hope they can extend and rework the queue, and maybe even the ride itself a bit. Norway is dated, and Frozen needs to come to WDW in a big way ASAP! I hope it is true.

How does the mere fact that people are talking about it in the forums mean that the idea has legs? If that were true, there would 15 or twenty DLs spread all over the United States.
