My position is very simple. The movie is heavily inspired by the geography, architecture, and culture of Norway. As such, it's a good fit for the Norway pavilion, in my opinion. You obviously disagree, and that's fine.

They already ruined the theme and cultural significance of one ride and country with a cartoon, why not shoot for two?

Might as well just put up viewing windows in the China pavilion and hire a bunch of Chinese 8 year olds to stitch up all Disney's souvenirs while moulan dances around and beats them mercilessly.

Also; Culture of Norway.

Like I said, it's fine if you disagree.

I admit that it did make me feel pretty good. Thanks.

That being said, I'm not the one that claimed that frozen would be in Epcot, so that part of your affirmation fell a little flat.

As for the belly rub, I was a bit surprised that you were into that, but whatever.

I have zero horses in this race and basically no idea what's going on. Nut jobs on the left, whack jobs on the right.

But as vocal as the one side has been, you've been just as much. But your (Disney) side of this "battle" consists of you.......and a guy.....who claims to be a "warrior" and the internet is his "battlefield". A "warrior" who spent "two months".........."arguing"...........on "the internet".............with "paranoid fans" about Disney's "hate" of "blu ray and 3D".

Then there's you.....who's brought less to the table than anyone on the other side......except unfounded despise for others opinions.......

Keep fighting the good fight, good for you....just might help to realize what it takes to "win" any form of "battle"........

It's funny. My posts have been the antithesis of arguing, but you guys can't handle anyone not agreeing completely with your position, so you have to continue attacking and attacking. Do you honestly think that you are somehow going to bring everyone who disagrees over to your side through this kind of juvenile behavior?

Accept that some people reasonably disagree with you and, you know, let it go.

I think the only one happy with Space Mountain was Holmes. And he was quietly shown the error of his ways.

Idiot. That project could have been awesome.
How awesome are we talking here? I know the track was supposed to be replaced and it wasn't but was there more?

I can't even remember the last time I wanted to ride MK's Space Mountain. Sigh. Give me Disneyland's anyday.

Proper WDI sanctioned on board and off board audio. New cars. Full makeover of the queues. All new track and substructure. All new visual effects. Exterior building lighting.

Instead we got much needed hardware and RCS systems, a lick of paint here and there, a mediocre third party PA system and much hoopla over unneeded queue games and load hall roofs that manage to further block the Peoplemover view.

If you've ridden the DLP version you know how awesome the visuals could be. If you've ridden Disneylands you know how a cohesive retheme of the building interiors plus how smooth the track can be and how synced music adds to the experience. Add all that together plus more and you get the idea.

Need I continue?

Wow, that all sounds great :( I've never ridden the Disneyland or Paris versions, the only resort I've been to is WDW. But I hope to change that in the future.

I would like that Frozen will take Maelstrom because the Troll scare me a lot of times. I would to see it happen in EPCOT!

I'm the exact opposite. Disneyland's Space Mountain is a roller coaster in the dark without even a single drop. Space Mountain the MK has at least a few drops that produce solid airtime. For me, Space Mountain in Florida is a must do, in Disneyland not so much.

Big Thunder Mountain in Disneyland also lacks any drops. I find it a very disappointing coaster as well. For me, good hills make a coaster spark. No hills make it a skip.

Here's an idea: Instead of putting a Frozen overlay on Maelstrom, why not put it on...Expedition Everest?

Think about it: replace the train with sleds. Put a lot more snow all over everything. Replace the queue with an Ice Palace motif. And best of all....replace the yeti with Olaf. He's a hell of a lot smaller, so it'd be an easy AA to maintain. Or just keep the yeti figure and spray fake snow all over it; then give it minimal movement, have it roar a little or something. It'd look like Elsa's big snow-henchman from the film. Heck, TDO could put a little show scene in that cave area, with Olaf, the reindeer, perhaps Anna and Kristoff.

And the lame yeti screen (where he's tearing up the tracks) could be replaced with Olaf too. At least in that case the obvious animation wouldn't seem so fake and jarring. Also in that area, an Elsa AA could sing "Let It Go" and the room could sparkle like she's making magic ice and whatnot.

Believe it or not, I'm only half-kidding here. EE is a failure. TDO is always getting ribbed about it. Well, TDO, here's the solution. Think about it.

I agree. The MK's Space Mt still needs a proper refurb, but the track layout is light years better than DL's turn-turn-turn-turn-turn-turn-turn...

DLP would be the best if it didn't knock your brains out every single time.

For some reason I just don't enjoy Space Mountain in the MK. I feel like I'm going to fly out, whack my head, and it just seems way too rough. I don't know, I just never remember enjoying the MK version. I'm mixed on coasters anyway, some I can do, some I just don't enjoy for some reason. IDK. Although it has been years since I've been on that and Disneyland's, so maybe my opinion could change on them. I'm weird with coasters. lol
