"Frozen" coming to Disneyland?

When Mr. Toad goes is when Pan and Alice and sizable portions of Fantasyland likely go as well. Unlike at MK Toad shares too much space with these other rides and would be very difficult to replace/gut without impacting the footprint of these other two dark rides.

If Toad sat on its own in a corner with precious real estate to use up I wouldn’t put it past Disney to replace it. But the DL version is a very small footprint and most modern dark rides simply wouldn’t fit on that parcel. At MK, Toad had the dual track model and did not share overlapping building space with another dark ride, hence it gave way to Pooh.

Toad is also not a property TWDC is presently distancing itself from as the Wind in the Willows is on Disney+.

Oh yes. The ol Disneyland’s blessing of (small) size. Ironic how that worked out.

I haven’t seen Raya or Ralph 2 yet, but regarding your Encanto criticisms, I agree. There was a lot of buildup with no adequate conclusion to wrap the story up. It peaked and then it abruptly ended. I’m still unsure if I understand what the moral or lesson of the story is.
The moral of Encanto is that how one treats people is more important than talent. … … And then everyone gets their talents back anyway. Yay! 😄 I do love Encanto; I think it’s strengths make up for its story wonkiness. And I always tell people it doesn’t really work until a second viewing.

Yeah the ending didn’t really hit on the first viewing. And I agree that it’s strengths make up for its weaknesses.

Oh okay Xanadu isn't that bad. Olivia Newton John and Gene Kelly on roller skates. How could you go wrong? I blame Michael Beck and the tons of cocaine on set for it's shortcomings. What is Encanto's excuse? Disney woke.
Xanadu IS that bad, despite the wonderful Olivia Newton John being delightful. And Encanto is a really good film, and unconventional to boot. Where did the Woke observation come from? What?

The blessing of (small) size making the most of what the land you have works great when you don’t have to tear out half of a theme park for Galaxy’s Edge. Even Magic kingdom still has so much space to expand if they wanted to build their own N.O. Square and stand-alone Tiana attraction. It’s still absolutely mind boggling to me.

There’s an old adage to apply here somewhere I’m sure. 😂

Went on all the FL dark rides yesterday except Pinocchio which I rode the trip before. I have to say that my ranking seems to change often but being that I rode them all back to back yesterday I think I have to say Toad and Alice are at the top. Gun to my head I have to say Toad for its pace and I think as a whole it’s the most solid experience. Also has more variety like the bumpy train track scene and things like actual water. You feel the most like you re in the middle of the action. Alice is #2. Followed by Pan and then Snow White. Pinocchio is last due to the very dark, boring and monotone middle section. Pan loses a little bit of its luster the more you ride.

Raya is gorgeous but has the worst script of any Disney film recently. I was no fan of the original Wreck it Ralph, but the sequel was a disaster. Just a disgusting, insulting piece of garbage.

Other random thoughts about movies, dark rides, etc.:
-Sometimes it seems like no one hates Disney animated films more than Disney park fans (and WIR 2 is the only truly abysmal one that's been mentioned at all in this thread)
-Frozen is fine, not amazing, but fine.
-Encanto is great, actually (and so was the IASW projection show!)
-I actually really liked Snow White's Enchanted Wish and think it's a fine improvement over the original. I maintain that the 1983 ride was more interesting for its history than its actual content. And if you miss the 1983 ride, it's still in Paris. Everyone wins!
Pinocchio is last due to the very dark, boring and monotone middle section.
Finally, someone else shares the correct take. Pinocchio is the worst Fantasyland dark ride and it's not close.

Now I’m really not about to waste my time! Not “a disgusting, insulting piece of garbage” LMAO. I’ll just kindly cross it off my list. I don’t want to watch Raya either, honestly.

Haha I think most people feel this way don’t they?

Except for the now-with-no-adventure Snow White ride being an improvement. Starting with the name: “Enchanted Wish” is the WORST name for a dark ride in the history of theme parks!!!! A wish is not a ride! What’s next— A redo of the Indy ride called “Indiana’s Robust Career Goals??????” Barf! Barf, I say!

Also made an effort to ride all the FL dark rides on my last trip and I'd make a few edits to your ranking: Toad is first for sure for the same reasons you mention, plus I still find its design delightfully insane given how so much of it is simply flats (Toad Hall alone gives it first place for me). Snow is (maybe controversial) second for me; the changes they made really resonated with me and I think it's stronger now, naysayers be damned. 😂 Alice is a close third (miss the old outdoor section), followed by Pan in fourth (overrated and a little ruined by the enhancements) and Pinocchio in fifth.

Honestly, it actually fits in to Disneyland. Not saying im the biggest fan of the movie but ice princesses in Norway is closer than most the junk they've been cramming into Disneyland the last 20 years.

I say this as someone who loves Star Wars too, but besides Star Tours which somehow was brilliantly integrated, it doesn't belong in Disneyland. Certainly not a Tatooine like marketplace/bar.

Marvel/Star Wars/Toy Story don't fit and I've had enough of them. I know Frozen was over played 10 years ago but I'll gladly take a Frozen ride over whatever else terrible property WDI would plan for otherwise.

Frozen would work beautifully in Disneyland's Fantasyland and I hope it moves forward. Keep in mind when you think about what Disney might be reserving for DisneylandForward that there is absolutely no plan for that area and everything they displayed was example material (a la thirdthemepark . com from way back in 2001) to get the city on board for the approvals.
