Frozen at Disney's Hollywood Studios for the summer?

Who exactly is in charge of naming things at Disney lately?"Frozen Summer Fun LIVE! sounds like one of those cheap summer traveling shows (kind of like this Marvel Universe Live I keep hearing on the radio).

Anyway, I'll be in the parks late July. I'll probably only catch the fireworks though. Nothing else really interests me.

I'd offer up that Feld, the producer of the ice shows & Live productions, spend much more than TDO in character design and choreography. Hardly cheap, that's a dance party-the go to of WDW entertainment to placate the rubes

If it is just for one day then Disney is really stupid. It'll be fun to see the next time I go up if it does last till September 30th, but I'm not making a special trip for this. I will for Diagon Alley though

That's a ton of expense for a one-time deal. And not even a hard ticket event either? No way.

Getting a bunch of costumes out of a closet and dusting them off for a one-day event is one thing. This is a totally different level.

I would have liked to see the fireworks show so I'm a little disappointed it's ending 9/1. We all know this screams last minute response to Diagon Alley. I think they realized that they had to include a fireworks show to have it be somewhat substantial. However, it doesn't look like there's a traditional meet and greet. Am I reading this wrong?

Well, it's not a bad idea.... Sure Disney is milking every cent out of this movie, but this "celebration/promo" actually sounds fun.
