Frozen and Saving Mr. Banks out on DVD & Blu-ray today

I bought Frozen without having seen it first. Regrets I've had a few...

Thanks. So would there be a way to change settings on tv if it 2:40 cause I believe thats what Frozen is. Tv is only like 2 yrs old Samsung

You can do that, but depending on what setting you use, it will do one of two things: it will either stretch the picture vertically, resulting in everything looking overly stretched and skinny, or it will chop off the ends of the frame, resulting in you not seeing the entire picture and missing some of that gorgeous Disney art.

Exactly. Take it from a former Blockbuster employee, I know it might take some getting use to but I look at it this way. 2:40 in an HDTV bumps up to 1:85 and 1:85 bumps up to full screen. So theoretically your still getting a bigger picture, but not ruining the picture quality. Fun fact! did you know back when we had VHS tapes, the studios had to take the film and cut the sides off to give the picture that "full frame" look. "This film has been modified from it's original version. It has been formatted to fit your screen"... Aww, memories

It's been a long time since I bought two copies of something just for bonus content (probably the last season of Supernatural that came with a die-cast replica of the '67 Chevy Impala), but hey- that just means there's a precident, right? LOL

I enjoyed Frozen, but don't quite see what the hoopla is about. I loved SMB and plan on buying it. I wouldn't make a special trip to the store for either one. But I imagine I'll have them by the weekend...one for me and one for the Easter baskets. lol

Nice! I almost wish I had. I only paid $10.99 for the Blu at Toys "R" Us, though, so it won't hurt TOO bad when I wind up buying the eventual 3D release.

Also picked up Saving Mr. Banks yesterday. I'm not the biggest fan, but the rest of the family loves it.

Still feel like Saving Mr. Banks got snubbed at the Oscars. Not even a nomination for Emma Thompson?!? And with 10 Best Picture noms now, how the hell did it get skipped over? Not saying it should've won, but I think it definitely deserved a nomination.
