Frontierland makeover

I do have a question. Is TDO really stall planning to do Avatarland based on the theme park attractions that are planed?

I am asking that because Avatarland,Carsland, Monsters Inc. Coaster and now a rid being added to Frontierland doesn't sound like the type of thing TDO would do based on the amount of money would be spent for attractions for theme parks around the same time.

Keep in mind while some things may overlap they all aren't simultaneous projects. Also keep in mind we don't know anything for certain until shovels hit dirt and even then you might get changes... Ala SM getting a less extensive refurb than originally planned.

It's also possible that part of the reason why TDO wanted to cut Pandora's budget (and removed the bike coaster) is because they wanted that money for another project, like theoretically this WRE attraction.

I remember reading some insider chatter a while back that something similar DCA's Grizzly River Run was going to be added to the back half of Tom Sawyer's Island

I remember it too, something more like the Lewis and Clark rapids ride from Disney's America.

Is this really true? I just don't understand it. WDW has gotten no new major attractions from TDO in like the last ten years and now WDW is getting all of these rumored new major projects. There is even talk that Imagination needs fixing. I worry every year about what else will be lost at WDW as ticket prices go up. These rumors of additions seem like insanity from the TDO I know. I will be so amazingly happy if these rumors do come true with no major losses to the parks.

I understand and respect whylightbulb's track record but I'm astounded as to how this managed to elude everyone we think of as being "in the know". How does this play into P&R winding down capex at the the parks, as well as MGM and DAK supposedly being the parks in the most desperate need of attention?

Well, it seems our insiders are quite divided. Rudolf and Whylightbulb are saying MK project is a go... While Lee,74, and wdw71fan say no go... Intriguing indeed...

When I first read rumor here about the potential end of the RoA, TSI as we know them for future development (a plan I personally think shouldn't be on WDW's to-do list), I had fun visualizing it in this illustrated site plan:

Things change/are fluid. They may finally be realizing that FLE won't change things. They may also be looking at the 3 mountains, their need of lengthy refurbs, and the strain that losing one if them puts on the park. They're also likely looking down I-4 at their neighbors. MK needs all the capacity it can get.

I am no " insider" and I sure dont want to refute any information our local insiders information. I just go by history and what is hard evidence. I aint buying it. I am growing tired of rumors, its not the fault of the said insiders.....they are just relaying information. Without them this place would be quite boring. But after being around here for a while and hearing things like Hyperion Warf, Avland, Cars land, Monsters Inc. coaster, now WRE I am growing very weary. Maybe the Dec. 7th announcement will give us something to really cheer about ( doubt it) but until I see dirt moving.....I take all of this with the perverbial grain of salt....BTW...my doctor says I need to lower my sodium intake....I may need to lay off the WDW Magic.

This is beautiful to me. =)
Let me ask, is this completely out of you're imagination or is there any truth to specific portions of it? I really like the borderlands piece and how it flanks FL. Very interesting. Thanks
