Any time table for this project?
Could it be that since Splash is in such bad shape that this new attraction may be taking the place of the falling apart mountain?I completely agree with you but unfortunately it's not our decision. I'm just reporting what I know.
The themeing of the FLE would never have been seen from the old Fantasyland if new walkways had not been built. I think you are limiting your vision too much.i dont see how this could be built. that area is landlocked on one side and waterlocked on the other with the r.o.a. the only way, as fantasmic mentioned, is to take over splash and retheme it to the wre to match thunder mountain. altho there is alot of land north of thunder across a canal, noone would see anything from the walkways of the park due to sightlines of tom sawyers island, and no sence building and attraction if noone can see the themeing. this would now take way more effort to build then when the idea first came up in the 70's
Yes Carsland is still very real and active.
WRE is so much like splash mountain though , and would the entire thunder mesa complex be coming to the MK or just WRE?
Well the rumor at one point in time was a bridge to Tom Sawyer's Island, the permanent docking of the River Boat and a rapid ride.
If you don't mind me asking. Who are your sources? I'm not asking for namesTSI for sure as far as I understand things. And yes, this is the rumored Baxter project.

Is Tony Baxter supposed to be involved? M.rudolf recently posted that Tony was supposed to be involved in a new Magic Kingdom project. Would make a lot of sense if WRE actually happened. I sure hope it does. I also hope that it's a ride with a lot of physical sets and animatronics.
Aye. And is this supposed to be a real expansion of some sorts (above Big Thunder perhaps), or are they just going to be tearing down existing attractions to build this new one? I'd hate to lose BTM or Splash Mountain in the process..
Can you expand on this, I'm having a hard time visualizing it. I'm guessing it means a bridge (or bridges) for pedestrian traffic to TSI and having the ride on the island itself. Would that automatically exclude the boats on the river? I'm guessing the rafts to TSI would be deemed unnecessary, but I hope they'd still have the Liberty Square Riverboat.
And would it take up all of TSI? Would it simply replace Fort Langhorne?
