Well…. Since I started a new Pre-TR… I guess I should really take care of business and finish this up.. Let’s see if I can do it…
Unfortunately, the next several days of pictures from our trip were deleted from my phone and they were not backed up. I do have my scribbled, auto-corrected notes to help my memory. But WARNING… this will be text heavy.
Saturday 9/7
We checked out of AoA and made the journey over to POP. Once we got settled and had lunch, we made our way to the busses to go to BB. This was a HUGE priority for the girls because BB was scheduled to close the following day for refurbishment, so this was our only chance. We tried to wait patiently for an AK bus so we could transfer to BB, but it wasn’t happening (fast enough). After another lady at the bus stop told us that her family waited over 40 minutes for one the day before, and that was enough for me. We walked over to the main entrance and called a LYFT.
It was a great day. I’m sad to have lost the pictures!! We did the lazy river and the wave pool for most of our time there. Julia purchased the last 2 batches of mini doughnuts of the day for us! Hope, who never really wants to eat doughnuts gave them a try and seemed to enjoy them! We stayed until close and took our time leaving. We summoned another Lyft to take us back to POP.
We went to DS for dinner at the Polite Pig. I can’t remember what we ate – but it was delish and plentiful!! We walked around for a while and Julia was texting away to her sweetheart.
Sunday 9/8
We started the day heading to the Poly. Julia had her heart set on Tonga Toast – so that was our plan. It was well worth it!! I don’t need a picture to remind me how yummy it was!!!
After that we were looking around all the gift shops when Hope approached me and and said, “Stuck.”
Stuck?? What was she talking about?? Then I realized she was holding a plastic cupcake on top of her head. But it wasn’t just a cupcake.. it was a fan!!! And yes, my child had it tangled up in her hair!! I had to hand it to her, she stayed calm and just kept repeating, “stuck…stuck…stuck…!” It reminded me of A Christmas Story with Flick getting his tongue stuck to the flagpole- and I could not help but chuckle – a bad mama moment! Thankfully, I managed to untangle it all without having to ask a CM for a scissors to cut it out!! How would I explain that to Ross??
Let’s see.. after my Rapunzel got her hair back to normal, we toured the rest of the monorail resorts. Then went back to the hotel, swam a bit, and then took a Lyft to play golf at Fantasia Gardens. We walked over to the boardwalk and then Beach/Yacht Club and we also visited the Swan/Dolphin. From there, we took a bus back to Pop and rested a bit before we headed to DS for dinner at Homecoming. And OMG it was sooooo DELISH!! I wish I had the pictures!! I mean…. Fried chicken and doughnuts!!!! Then it was back to POP and crashed!
Monday 9/9
We woke up early for EPCOT. We had breakfast in Norway with the Royal crew. I tried to leave a tip on my Magic Band – and found out I had NO charging privileges!! I only had a $10 bill in my pocket so that’s what I could leave for a tip. We left and met Anna and Elsa and then did a whole lot of EPCOT stuff. On our way over to the land, we saw Prince Eric setting up for a meet and greet. We had never seen him before and Hope was very excited! We were the second on line – and right away the line was HUGE behind us. I am so sad that I lost those pictures – ever more than the chicken and doughnuts.
It was a fun day. We even took our time touring the aquarium over at Nemo before we hopped to the Studios. I had a ADR for the Star Wars Cantina and I WAS EXCITED!!!!!
Hope… not so much…. She could care less and was in a miserable mood. The waitress brought us the wrong snack so she said just to keep it. The drinks were fun… the snacks were forgettable. The atmosphere was AMAZING!!
As we were walking out, they had started to do a show – a CM was looking for someone who had “the power”. Or something like that – I forget the exact words. But the CM stopped us and looked at Hope and motioned to her and exclaimed, “YOU are the ONE!!” IT was clear that they were going to do something fun… but my child declared, “NO, NOT THE ONE!!” And with that the poor CM looked in disbelief as I rolled my eyes and shrugged at him. I asked, "Can I be the one?", But no - I could not. Sadly, we left the Cantina.
From Droids to toys we headed to Toy Story Land. Hope got into a better mood. Julia did as well because she has no love for Star Wars either! I warned them both that we would be having another visit to the cantina later in our trip because we had a magic meeting scheduled!!
Aside from that, it was a great day. We saw Fantasmic! which continues to be my favorite nighttime show. And then I convinced the girls to once again head over to Star Wars Land. Actually, we went to ride Slinky first. And then I told Hope we were going to change from toys to droids and ride the Falcon. And that’s what we did! It was very cool because we were among the very last to ride for the night!!
On our way out a CM stopped Hope and asked for her autograph!!! It was so sweet and Hope was happy to oblige – and I have NO PICTURES OF IT!!!!
We went back to POP, had a snack, updated my credit card and then turned in. We had to get ready for the next day when we would see Grumpy.
Up next... Grumpy meets his soul mate.
