Free Dining

Touring plans just posted that free dining will be announced on March 26 for disney visa holders and the 30th for General Public.

Has anyone else heard anything about free dining

YAY LATE SEPT! Im going in august now question i have a veyr confusing disney august. Im staying swan 2-10 undecided resort 10-12 and then coronado 13-18. If im a visa card holder will i be able to get it for the swan or no?

I believe the Swan is not offered in free dining...someone else know 100%?

Yup, I am 100% certain free dining is not offered at the Swan, because Swan guests can't get the DDP at all. The DDP is only available at Disney owned and operated resorts, so that excludes Swan/Dolphin, Shades of Green, and the DTD hotels.

I have a question if the free dining goes till Oct 3 if my trip starts Oct 1 can I get the free dining plan my entire trip or just the 1st 3 days? Also does anyone know if the value resorts only get the quick service plan or the regular plan? if quick service plan can you upgrade the the regular plan? Sorry for so many questions!

There has not yet been an official announcement yet from Disney, so no, not yet 100% official - but pretty close to it. TouringPlans has the release dates per the OP.

dis unplugged also has a post saying they have a "reliable rumor" that free dining is from Aug. 15 -Sept 30 and bookings could start on March 30

Looks pretty good that its coming. We just need to found out when and the codes:drevil:

I have free dining for the beginning of September from a bounce-back. I don't know if that means anything for whether or not it will be open to the public. :shrug:

You wont be able to get it until the day it starts. If it ends on the lets say 15th you start your vaca on the 10th and stay till the 20th then it will extend. You cant start it before it starts.

gah thanks for the help! But i mean the 15, 16th. 17, 18th arent 2 bad for free food. Too bad im going the 1-18th but ill take anything i can get haha.

While free dining is nice for families, as a solo traveler - I just can't eat that much food (and SHOULDN'T eat that much food!!)

I MIGHT put a $200 deposit down for free dining and then see what AP discounts are going to come available later for that timeframe. :shrug:
