I have a question to those booking through Disney and calling.. Why not make the reservation online?

I think that a lot of people had pre-existing reservations that they wanted to apply the Free Dining offer to. I'm not sure if it's possible to do such a thing online without booking an entirely new reservation.

You are correct. You can not modify an existing reservation online. Also a room only reservation done on line has a 45 day cancellation deadline where a room only phone reservation has a 5 day cancellation period.

In the past, I tried making the reservation online; and, for some reason, it was cheaper doing it over the phn. I dont know how that worked, but it was.....

I think that, in a lot of cases, when you book online, they pigeon-hole you into getting the broad package which includes the "gift" upon arrival, the special soaps in your room and other stuff like that that they milk you for!

The whole month of september is open for me so I was interested in what dates worked best for the best price. I was interested in staying at a Value or a Moderate if you could price both out for me...Thanks in advance!!!!!

The only difference I found online was they automatically added the travel insurance, maybe thats why some people find it cheaper to book with a live person (not realizing the difference may be the travel insurance) It is easy to decline... I always book online and have never been "pigeon-holed" into getting broad packages.. Don't all the rooms have special soaps in the room?

Hi

is this avalible to us in the UK??

i am hoping t come over in october/November, and this would make it more worth while

Yes, the UK market which normally gets their free dining offer a year in advance has been given the opportunity to purchase the free dining for this year again.

For UK, there is no value resorts with any type of free dining. Stay at a moderate you get the quick service dining free, and a DVC or deluxe and you get the normal dining plan for free.

Minor update, I booked 13 nights, so the upper limit isn't 10. I may call back this evening and add another night still.

Can you get the free dining if you started your vacation on say the 14th of August?
The Free Dinign part is not available until the 16th of August so if you want you could book a room only reservation for those two nights and then re-check in to take advantage of the package offer. Also keep in mind that the minimum for the Free Dining is a 3 night stay so you would be there at least a total of 5 nights/6 days. I dont know if your travel plans allow for a vacation that long. Hope this helps! Belle
