Master Yoda,

If I used a bounce back offer to book my room, can I get this as well? I put the deposit on my Disney Visa and will be putting the balance on it as well?

My guess is it's either one or the other, but since it specific for Disney Visa card holders, I can be hopeful, right?
You can not combine discounts. You have to pick one or the other.

I booked last year for Free dining on a bounceback. Does anyone know if the price will come out the same using a bounceback and the new free dining if it come out to the general public??? Is it worth calling to check??? This is the first time we have done a bounceback. We did upgrade and pay differnce for the delux dining. Thanks for any insight.

If it is the same offer, I Am pretty sure it will come out to the exact same price, but if you booked through Disney, Id tell you to call to be sure. If you booked through KK, your agent probably has already checked that for you!! Have a great day all!!! Marie

I think you would have to break your reservation up into 2 bookings. Get the 30% off on the first half (if still avaiable) and free dining on the second booking. cant hurt to call to see what it will save you.

Okay, what if I am vacationing August 11th to August 17th. Can i still get the free dining for Aug. 16th and 17th?
The general rule of thumb is that your arrival date has to be inside of the dates but you will need to call Disney to confirm. You can do a split stay but that raises a whole host of other issues and in your particular case might end up costing you more.

This is great news. I just got my email from visa rewards a few minutes ago. Can't wait to get home and book this trip. 142 long days to wait.

I absolutely concur as both sets of dates would have tickets and room components attached. It gets messy to say the least, and as Yoda said, could end up costing more in the long run. I do hope you were able to take advantage of the other discount offers that were available. Marie

Interesting how they changed the free dining so that if you are staying at a value, you can only get the qs. The upgrade is not that much at all for those who are thinking about it. I received info on this a month ago in the form of a postcard offering it to my family. Of course, we aren't going this year so I hope they have it again for summer/fall 2011 or give me another postcard beause we are definately going then.:)

Yoda, do you reccommend that I book my summer 2011 trip now to guarantee we get the room/resort we want? (splitting trip between wl and cbr-pirate) I have never booked this early before but I am so anxious!!

The packages/rates for 2011 have not been released yet. This historically has been happening in August.

Please keep in mind to the person that wanted to split their stay. You must have the minimum amount of nights and days of tickets on your package in order to qualify for the discount.

Jumping in for Yoda here a tad, as far as booking the rooms you want, that is fine only if you are going to go with those rooms regardless of a discount. If so, and you have your heart set on those resorts/room categories, I say go for it. If you arent going without some form of discount, you would do better to wait and see what is offered as far as resorts/ room types within the discount. Booking now will allow one less of the room type you really want in the "available" pool to be discounted. If enough people do that, you may not be able to get the combination you want. Marie

Just a FYI for those booking this free dining. I looked online before I called to make sure what I wanted and Coronado Springs was already booked up for Septmber 18-27. In case anyone wanted to stay there that week. We went with Carribbean Beach. First time staying there. Can't wait.

FALSE!!!!!

I thought the same thing until I talked to a reservationist at WDTC a few minutes ago.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING: The Free Dining Offer only applies to dates up and through October 2. For example, if you book an Oct 1-10 vacation, you would get free dining on the nights of October 1 ONLY. You would pay rack rate for Dining for the rest of the trip.

However, you do not have to book a split stay.

This is quite different from previous versions!

Hey there, Not to doubt you but I too just got off with reservations and was able to price out a trip of Oct 1st-Oct 10th with the Free Dinign for all of the days. I have gotten answers like that previously on the same type of offer but my understanding is that the package discount will cover all of the dates. Maybe call back and get someone else?:shrug: Best of luck getting this offer!!! Marie

This is exactly why I despise 90% of the people who answer the phones for WDTC. There is 0 consistency.

I'm going to call again and again until I get someone who's worth more than the pile my dog left in the back yard.

Thanks for the heads up Belle. I would have given up, because the woman I talked to was VERY matter of fact and adamant about it.

Guess what, you're right. WHEW!

Apparently, they sent out a memo to all reservationists when the offer came out and it incorrectly said "Check-OUT by October 2". Then they issued a new one today that said "Check-IN by October 2".

It would have been nice for lady #1 to have at least tried it in her system rather than tell me over and over that I was wrong, while I KNEW I was right.

Just can't get good help these days, can you? :p

We had already booked our WDW trip under the 30% off moderate and I called tonight to see what the extra charge would be to take off the 30% and book under free dining; an increase of $344.00 - no brainer - Dining Plus for 2 adults and 1 9 yr old for $344.00 We can't wait. Now off to set our ADRs if we can - LOL.
