Guess what, you're right. WHEW!
Apparently, they sent out a memo to all reservationists when the offer came out and it incorrectly said "Check-OUT by October 2". Then they issued a new one today that said "Check-IN by October 2".
It would have been nice for lady #1 to have at least tried it in her system rather than tell me over and over that I was wrong, while I KNEW I was right.
Just can't get good help these days, can you?
It is an honest mistake but a mistake that can't be allowed. How many other people were turned away and didn't have a place like WDWMAGIC and KK to set the facts straight. Some poor child may be missing out because the CM didn't know her job...Hey there!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy that you were able to get this offer. Most of the people I speak to down there are really quite good and always super with me. Im sure it was just an honest mistake, which happens. Bottom line is your going to Disney!!! Have a great trip! Marie
Hey there Computer Magic, Many years ago I became a client of KK myself ( Pam was my agent at the time) for exactly this reason. Disney made it harder and harder to book my own stuff. Eventually it was a logical choice to go with an expert in the field. Once I did, I kinda wondered "Why was I doing all of this myself?" KK doesnt charge a fee for any vacation bookings, the payment policies match Disney, it was easier to deal with Pam directly and KNOW I had the same person each time than to deal with the hundreds of agents Disney has. Since becoming part of KK, I have had many people tell me the same thing. It is a darn good argument for using an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner travel agency to book your trips. ADVP agencies are the top sellers and top educated agencies in the country (this program is only available to agencies in the USA) and are always up on the latest and greatest for our clients so we can offer the best service possible to them. And since there is no charge to the client, most of my clients do use our services again and again. I was speaking with a client last night that I have booked in the past and he has dealt with Richard, Jessica, and Pam as well as myself, depending on who was around when he had called!!! In all cases he knew he was going to be taken care of by a great team of people. Obviously I cant speak to the mistake that was made, and I am sorry for anyone who may have missed out due to that, but if that is the case, please feel free to pass along our office number, The KK Team would be glad to help them!!! Marie
Well you can but we all work for Pam.Guess what, you're right. WHEW!

I would agree. 99% of the CM's that we talk to at the DRC know what is going on. It is usually obvious when we get one that fits into that 1% and when that happens I just call back.Hey there Tom, While I agree that not even Travel Agents are invincible, I will tell you that the information we get on the deal tends to be pretty good and our team does share information among each other. I would have probably asked her to try it ( which I think you did based on what you wrote) or called back and gotten someone else. Eventually it did get corrected and you were able to get your deal, I would have done the same thing for a client who wouldnt have had to do it themselves.
I have a great respect for the teams of people we speak with at Disney. For the most part, I have gotten people who are knowledgeable, great to deal with and professional on the phone. Im sure that there could be a problem with a small number of people on the phones, but again our clients dont deal with that, we do. It is part of our job to know about the specials that are offered and what the limitations are on it. Without getting into too many details, you are incorrect about the same team of people answering the phones. Travel agents have a dedicated staff within Reservations. I dont know if that is limited to ADVP agents or not, I wouldnt think so but I wont swear to that one way or the other as I havent been told that for sure. Sorry you had to go through that but I Am glad you got your trip with the discount offered. Marie
