For those who love Cheerleaders............

Pumbas Nakasak

Heading for the great escape.
It was only a post to warn or advise that the "older" cheerleaders are in town.

The actual game-play of the CFL is a much more exciting and far less predictable game than the NFL game could ever be.
Yeah your probably right, i knew the giants would win against the patriots, that was an easy call. David Tyree's head catch was pretty predictable.

Same thing with the stealers picking off a pass in the end zone and then running it back to the house with no time left in the 1st half. Before the game even BEGAN i was like, "watch this shiz, its going down!"

Typical European attitude, you do realize if it wasn't for the US you would be speaking German today.

Actually, they would be speaking Russian, but you get a B+ for effort.

The US, GB, Canada, USSR, Poland, etc, etc all played roles in the defeat of Nazi Germany. Some more than others, but only because of resources. GB could have easliy held off Germany (Uh, hello?? The Battle of Britain). They probably would not have been able to defeat Germany on their own, but they could have kept them at bay.

Sorry for the history lesson, but as far as WWII, the US and the USSR we the heavy hitters in the European theater. Without the US resources given to GB and USSR, things would have lasted much longer. People forget that after the US was attacked by Japan, the US goal was "Germnay First", plain and simple. More effort and planning was put into Europe than our own back yard. Again, GB could have easlily held off Germany, but there was no way into France without the US. The USSR may have been able to make it's way to Berlin on it's own in several years, but the amount of men and equipment Germany was forced to use to defend the land and skies of it's western front made it easier for the Soviets, without doubt.

So, anyway, just to stay on topic...Save The Cheerleader, Save The World. Or is that just soooooooo "2 seasons ago?"

And as has been said

WW1 - Late
WW2 - Late (and certain sections of US society siding with the box heads)
Live Aid - Late wed fed them by the time Quincy wrote a note.

Then look what happens when we leave you to your own devices.

Lets be honest your only upset because you realise you are inferior. But then given the disproportionate impact of Gods country and its small population, who isnt?

As for Cheerleaders, Im sorry if I upset you, but really you should be angry at the people who read my post out to you.
:D

We weren't that late to WW2 and the amount of resources we poured in was the reason it was won. Yeah Britain held off the Germans but without the US, they would have enetually likely been a nation awaiting attrition as the Germans had an entire continent of resources vs. the island nation of UKs limited resources.
Furthermore, what is with the comment on how some of us supported the "boxheads". Does that mean we supported the Germans?!?! That's preposterous. Sure there are always sections of any nation that are idiots but to insinuate that any sizeable or even meager fraction of the US supported the Germans is ludicrous, especially to use as an argument that we didn't help as much in WW2 as we think we did.

The inclusion of a live aid reference should have indicated the level of seriousness that I was putting in this post. However I did so with the likes of Charles Lindbergh in mind and the support he received from sections of US society. Particularly serial Brit haters the Kennedys and those who had similar political and historic leanings.

We should all be thanking France because without them we wouldn't have won the revolution.

You should be thanking the Scots cause without their "enlightenment" you may never have had the constitution. Or many of your other institutions. :drevil:

Oh, and for the person claiming the World Series is called that because "grr Americans are ignorant", sorry to disappoint you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_...nd_explanation_of_the_term_.22World.22_Series
So if I am the only person playing "Montyball" I am therefore the best in the world and can rightly proclaim myself "World Champion" of the sport?

To be a World Champion in any recognized international endeavour, one must win a tournament recognized by an internationally accepted authority for said endeavour. The World Series is organized by MLB, which is not an internationally recognized authority.

BTW, citing wikipedia.org as an authority is not generally accepted in academia as valid.

I must disagree with one single point in this statement...

Wikipedia actually has been proven by several college professors doing studies to be a very accurate and acceptable source. I have read multiple cases on this where professors went through and maybe up to thirty entries in entirely different subjects... with their entries ranging from "Ridiculously untrue" to "untrue but very close to accurate" to "60% true" to "100%" true and basically everything in between...

and the results were that anything and everything untrue was removed while anything and everything true remained on the site. All professors in all the case studies i read about came back and said Wikipedia was entirely accurate and acceptable.

This is more or less a gripe I have on the often misconstrued belief that wikipedia is not reliable since anyone can post on it...

That is all...

Fair 'nuf... But I still hear students complain that they are not permitted to cite a wiki page...

Granted it's anecdotal. :D
