Flies. Lots of Flies.

Both would actually be pretty good. I'm not quite sure why people wouldn't want Disney to acknowledge when something is wrong.
I personally would rather not hear in-park announcements about their problems. Not why I go to the parks. And if there are a bunch of flies, I don't need to be told that there are a bunch of flies.

I assume Disney will fix problems...until the problems have existed for so long that I realize they won't, lol. (Nets! Yeti!)

But I don't think it's wrong of you to want an announcement! :) Just different opinions. Doesn't make yours wrong, of course!

Another example is when they have to escort people of off rides, they never tell you what went wrong. I know they can do it because I've seen it done one time. In this video. I'm really glad this CM explained what went wrong.

Heh, been there, done that. I was there when the ride was new, and at one point stuck on it for nearly a half hour with my grandfather.

Exactly. You just can't do mass pesticide spraying because people are being annoyed. They has to be a credible threat before action like that can even be considered.

Board of Health violations are not at all about guests being annoyed, it is about sanitary conditions. Masses of Fruit Flies will shutter a restaurant. The guests only mistake was not to pick up a phone and inform the BOH.

I am not going through all the threads but not sure if someone mentioned it or not, apparently Disney was trying out a new fertilizer and caused a fly problem.

Has anyone else noticed an over abundance of black flies everywhere at MK?

I'm inside Pecos Bill right now & there are flies everywhere. They were all around Sleepy Hollow yesterday & all over fantasyland about 10 min ago.

Anyone else noticing?

Yes. Lots of Flies. But not just at Magic Kingdom. They are all over the place. A cast member told me that Disney switched to a more environmentally friendly fertilizer - the natural kind- and it calls flies like crazy. Of course once they are there the feast on everything.

I've gotten the explanation many times over.

I do not give a flying pooh WHY there are a Ton of flies, I want them to fix the problem!

I'll accept other posters word that this problem isn't confined to Disney. But in the past three weeks I've been to the parks three times, as well as having business all over Orange, Osceola, and Lake counties and I haven't seen evidence of an excess infestation anywhere but WDW.

Plus, I live about ten minutes from the front gates and I've had no problems at home.

Perhaps Hermione cast a wicked spell on WDW.

Why on earth would any business give you a warning that they over run with flies????
To let us know they're working on a solution. People are going to find out about if they announce it or not, obviously. We all know about it through these forums. My point is I want to hear that they're working on the problem, not really annouce the problem itself. See what I mean?
