We got a flash drive in the mail today. Basically, it's a 6 GB Flash Drive with two links to videos and a Mickey on it. Am I the only one who thinks this is a ginormous waste of money to send a Flash Drive out to everyone? Not that I mind the free flash drive, but still.

Doesn't it tell people how to use MDX and FP+? There are a lot of people out there that have no idea bout FP+ yet. Also I'm sure the cost of the Flash Drive was included in your package price.

It basically links to two videos online. The rest of it is free space. I don't see why they couldn't have sent you the link to the video in the email. And it was for DVC, so the points were already paid for.

From what I hear, it's yet another test, and only going out to those who travel in the first quarter of next year, and not everyone will be getting the drives.

......technological advances are welcome ...in some instances .....but, this whole MDE, FP+ system is WAY out of line with what NEEDS to be done (in their opinion) if your vacation is going to be a 'success'. What's next ..."Let's synchronize our watches before we head to a park"?

.....don't be surprised if the flash drive has a virus, spy ware, or subliminal message in it that tries to make you think this system is "something good".

Are they the same as the mm+ propaganda videos playing in some of the gift shops?

We got one as well. Didn't plug it in, but I think ours was only 512MB, at least the number engraved on the plug (lots of promo USB sticks have sizing here) said 512.

Easily offset by changing from the next day/2nd day shipping they had been using for the MBs initially to the ground shipping they appear to be using now.

I am slightly curious if the links are actually customized to the guest it was sent to, so they can track usage and see if they worked or not.

Ours says the same thing, but it's actually 5.87 GB. When you plug it into your computer, it should say a certain amount of space is free out of a certain amount of space

The packaging doesn't seem all that cheap. The best part is, we already had the misfortune of using MM+ a month ago... We'll be spending one night at the Beach Club, then off for a week on the Fantasy. A little research would have saved them some money.

I should also add that it came with a 30 page, customized booklet. Fairly high quality paper, and the last page has a 3X5 magnet with "important dates to remember"(when I can start selecting FP+, begin online check-in, etc...)

Interesting. I just booked Wednesday and today I got a email about MM+ that said that I will be receiving further instructions from Mickey about planning my vacations but had no idea what that meant. I guess this is what I will be getting.
