Trip Report First time staying at the Boardwalk

Hi All!! One week from today, we will be flying the friendly skies from Pittsburgh to Orlando!! I am so excited!! Like, most of you, I am obsessed with all things Disney!

First the cast,


Hunter, 12, myself, Deighton, timeless, Brinley, 21 months, Camden 5, and Den, also timeless!! This picture was taken last October.

So, as I previously stated, we are leaving May 31 at 7am and getting into Orlando at 11 am. We will take the ME to the Boardwalk. This will not only be our first time staying at the Boardwalk but it will also be our first time in a one bedroom villa. Wahoo, a room to ourselves without our stinky, mange, poachers, I mean, sons. Oops!

I am going to try,yet again, to do a livish report. I, usually, start strong and fail, bitterly, at the end. Here goes another try!! One week to go and all systems go!!!

Oh, I'm really jealous of you now! I have wanted an avocado margarita on the last two trips and haven't gotten one because the line was always so long. But in a couple of weeks when I go I WILL get one! They are so yummy!

The line was long but it only took about 15 mins. So worth it! The blood orange is great, too!

Holy rain!! We ran into a man when we got back to the BW who said, there was 3 inches of rain coming into the front of Homecoming in DS tonight

The line was long but it only took about 15 mins. So worth it! The blood orange is great, too!

The last time we went it was pretty dead and we sat at a table. I got the avocado and hubs got the passion fruit one (I think). He was kind of a stinker about the whole margarita thing, I don't know why. He kept telling me he didn't like any of the flavors and I said he would probably like the avocado because it is melon tasting and he likes melon. But he said he hates avocado and settled on the passion fruit. Once the drinks came he didn't care for his much (but he drank it) but I got him to try mine (the avocado) one and he liked it a lot. Just like I knew he would, but does he listen to me!?! So then he was grumpy because I had the better drink. Anyway, it should be interesting what he orders this time.

With your recommendation, I might have to double fist it because I like orange too. Hmmm, decisions, decisions!

Good afternoon. Den and Brinley are taking a much needed nap! We had an early day. Up at 6am and out the door by 730 to go to AK!

We started the day by going straight to the safari. The animals were mostly pretty chill.
I got a great picture of Pride Rock.

Then Den went to EE. The rest of us are chickens. 5 minute wait!

Meanwhile, Hunter went on Kali River Rapids while Cam, Brin, and I watched the monkeys. Brin was enthralled.

Den and Hunter returned at the same time. Hunter was dry, ya! Then Den and Hunter road Kali. Both dry. Then Hunter and I rode. Of course, we got drenched! My jean skirt is still wet. Lol.

After KRR, we headed to Epcot character meet and greet. I love this fountain along the way.

So the plan was to only use 2 fast passes so I would take Cam and Brin to meet Mickey and Minnie. Well I looked like I just got out of the shower so Den took them instead!

Brin was pretty scared so I didn't miss too much

While the little ones, as we call them, are meeting the mice, Hunter and I split a mickey pretzel with extra cheese. Yum!! We also bought 2 muffins for the gang when they returned to us. Next up was Bugs life. Cam hated it! Brin loved it! It was like she understood. It is one of my favorites. Please remain seated while the bugs exit the building. LOVE IT!!

Next up Dinoland! Everyone had fun over here. After, Hunter and I had fast passes for dinosaur and then stroller swapped for Den and Hunter.

While Den and Hunter were on Dinosaur, Cam scored this awesome hat.

Next up Tiffins!!! Great great food!! Great great service!! Great great ambiance!! Not so great with tired children! Anyway, you will have that!!
We had the bread service and octopus for apps.

I will say the octopus was better at Coral Reef but this was still delicious! I had the beer sampler. All very good.

Hunter had the lobster curry thai soup. Amazing, too!! He ended up sharing with his sister. Good big brother!!

Den and I both had the waygu beef and striploin. So so out of this world. Sadly those pictures are on Dens phone so you will have to wait and see them when we get home. We also had the keylime cheesecake and chocolate ganache. Tasty!!! This very well could be a must do every trip!!

Next up, back to AK whenever Brin and Den wake up. I am not too worried bc it is open to 1am. However, we do have fastpasses to the Navi River Journey!

I was really impressed. I have always blown it off but the kids loved it and it had lots of characters.

The boys were all there Thursday. We will be there probably every afternoon for the remainder of our stay.

We just had a wonderfully relaxing night. Ended up eating at the Trattoria Al Forno. I would call it another hidden gem!! Homemade pasta, very reasonable prices, great charcuterie plate, and most imporantly a laid back atmosphere with an amazing staff!! Much easier with the kids! We will eat here again this week, guaranteed!

We absolutely love love LOVED Tiffins!! So jealous!! That lobster popcorn soup was EVERYTHING!! Never wanted it to end!!

See I knew we could be friends. You like margaritas (you encourage drinking 2 at the same time) and you get a beer flight with dinner at Tiffins! Although, you are braver than me and go on Kali River Rapids. I wouldn't mind the ride, I just don't like the getting wet/drenched part!
