Trip Report First time staying at the Boardwalk

Hi All!! One week from today, we will be flying the friendly skies from Pittsburgh to Orlando!! I am so excited!! Like, most of you, I am obsessed with all things Disney!

First the cast,

Hunter, 12, myself, Deighton, timeless, Brinley, 21 months, Camden 5, and Den, also timeless!! This picture was taken last October.

So, as I previously stated, we are leaving May 31 at 7am and getting into Orlando at 11 am. We will take the ME to the Boardwalk. This will not only be our first time staying at the Boardwalk but it will also be our first time in a one bedroom villa. Wahoo, a room to ourselves without our stinky, mange, poachers, I mean, sons. Oops!

I am going to try,yet again, to do a livish report. I, usually, start strong and fail, bitterly, at the end. Here goes another try!! One week to go and all systems go!!!

We were absolutely gobsmacked at how bad the bus service to the water parks is. We were at Port Orleans Riverside so Typhoon Lagoon was basically across the road... it took us 1hr and 40 mins to get back to the hotel from there on our last trip. We had to drive past the hotel to get to Disney springs to wait to go back again!!! Terrible.
That is awful. We drove down so we had our car. I did see buses for TL going to DS first.

Waiting for our room. Mousekeeping is cleaning! Going to the world showcase tonight. We had reservations for Cali Grill but canceleled them sadly. It is too hard on the kids to sit still plus all get along!
Did you get charged for a last minute cancellation?

Too many burns when I was a kid so now I just where a swim shirt in Disney. It also saves on "putting on sunscreen time". ;)

Oh by the way, we uberx back and forth from TL. A little over 20dollars. So worth it! Thanks @*Flynnderella* @MinnieM123 and @MySmallWorldof4 for your help and input!:happy::happy:

Very happy to hear that your family took alternate transportation to and from Typhoon Lagoon. When I read @*Flynnderella* 's nightmare bus experience to/from Typhoon Lagoon, that was even worse than my round trip to Blizzard Beach.

I don't know what WDW thinks they're doing by drastically cutting back the bus service to the water parks, but this is a STUPID move on their part. Good grief--there is SUMMER HEAT and HUMIDITY down there, and they need to reinstate better bus service to both water parks. I was so disgusted with the bus setup for Blizzard Beach that I debated whether to even bother with the WDW water parks anymore.

I agree. For us when Brin gets tired, it is time to go! It could have been a bus nightmare.
