Trip Report First time staying at the Boardwalk

Hi All!! One week from today, we will be flying the friendly skies from Pittsburgh to Orlando!! I am so excited!! Like, most of you, I am obsessed with all things Disney!

First the cast,


Hunter, 12, myself, Deighton, timeless, Brinley, 21 months, Camden 5, and Den, also timeless!! This picture was taken last October.

So, as I previously stated, we are leaving May 31 at 7am and getting into Orlando at 11 am. We will take the ME to the Boardwalk. This will not only be our first time staying at the Boardwalk but it will also be our first time in a one bedroom villa. Wahoo, a room to ourselves without our stinky, mange, poachers, I mean, sons. Oops!

I am going to try,yet again, to do a livish report. I, usually, start strong and fail, bitterly, at the end. Here goes another try!! One week to go and all systems go!!!

I hope you enjoy your vacation! I've stayed at the Boardwalk once and for me, I probably wouldn't stay again. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool, fun atmosphere and its proximity to DHS and Epcot are great. But for me, I spend more time at Magic Kingdom than any other park so I prefer to be closer to it, especially if staying in a deluxe resort. My other quibble with Boardwalk is that it doesn't have an internal snack area. For example, if you get the refillable mugs and need a refill, you have to go outside of the resort and walk to the Bakery. That's fine if the weather is cooperating, but if it's a rainy evening or a rainy few days during your stay, it gets to be quite a pain. Hopefully that won't be an issue for you.

Heading to MK first, of course. Fast passes for jungle cruise between 1250 and 150. Looks like we may just make it!

Welcome back!! You really did have some hot temps while down there!! It has been so cool here, I am going to have a hard time adjusting.

I cant wait to hear about your trip. I will be looking for your TR.

We are hoping this week works out for us so hopefully every two years, we will be going at this time. Hint, hint...

Just ate at Ohana!! Everything was delicious!! My only objection is being herded in and out so quickly for the cost. Our server was awesome. We left our tables in wonderland card in the room and they honored it anyway.

Everyone here is exhausted so we are all going to chill for the rest of the night. Our room is beautiful (4101). Just waiting for Garden Grocer now. Update more pics soon!!

Great start to the vacation at Ohanas

I get what you say about being herded
For the cost and quality of the meal to truly be a "value" you need time to savor it.

Ok so I lied. We went thru International Gateway and took a short walk to the Rose and Crown for a wee nitro of Boddington. Yum! Yum!! We than waddled back over the bridge to The Boardwalk.

It poured while we were in Ohana so all the pictures I took were pretty gloomy.

Up next tomorrow...rope drop at MK. Hopefully not so humid!!!

Another toasty day today! @Zipitidoda is 100 percent correct!

We arrived at MK around 815 which was swesome. I miss the old show tremendously but love being in MK before rope drop. So many memory maker and photo options!

We accomplished quite a bit before our 1230 reservation at skipper canteen. SM, BTMR, WINNIE, SM, HM, TEA CUPS, and also saw the muppets.

My photos wont show on my phone. My memory may be full.

Very busy at MK and oh so hot! Skipper was delicious. Not a bad bite of food on the table! The server was excellent but not into character at all. However, My husband more than made up for it. I had the sustainable fish which was grouper, dh had the whole fried fish which was red snapper and my DS had the beefy pasta w/bechamel. Not a bite left on any plates. We also had the steamed dumplings for an app and they were so tasty!

Pool time now for the boys and nap time for the girls! I will try to figure out why my pictures are not uploading and get back to all of you. Thanks everyone for following.

Alright, it is official, @lostpro9het is a genius and also knows food. That meal at Il Mulino is superior to almost any food on property! What an amazing meal!! It will be on our must do list every trip. I cant wait to go sans my wonderful children!
