First look at the 3D Model

Still something I won't waste my time on, no matter how unique. It's meeting a character. One that will have a long line.
Go ahead, jump the gun.

Trust me. This would be something very new and very unique that you would interact with. And no, it's not a CM.

:)brick:)
How is it not a M&G?
It is. But it's not the traditional "See the foamhead and have a one sided conversation". It's far more advanced than that.
Agreed. A miniland based off a Direct to DVD Franchise?

Please.
See, that I agree with. At least Tink is a popular character.

How about you just share what you know?

Lee, do you have any more details on this "interactive" PH experience? To me, it still seems like a M&G. Wait in a line (no matter how interactive it may be), see a character, get autographs & pics, then leave.

Not to be impudent, but are you sure? I can very clearly remember signs saying that it would be closed in the evening for Wishes.

Hmmm... Two things I could think of:

1) Perhaps there were high winds that day from the north/northwest and the pyro crew decided to expand/shift the fallout area for safety reasons. (I've had soot and debris fall down on us standing on the Tomorrowland bridge during a high-wind showing of Wishes)

2) Was it a Special Event night? The 180 fireworks around the park may have their own safety zones.

I know what you're talking about.

And I know it's still something I wouldn't wait more than 10 minutes for.
Do you, though?

I'd wait to see that. The tech is amazing.

I've said too much already!

Just know this: It uses technology that we've talked about en masse on these boards that that it would be very immersive, even though it would rely on screens.

Also...I think we've seen a little clip of the tech in use when all those videos were posted from the D23 Expo.

Could be the first. This was in 2005, so I don't remember the weather.

I know enough. Sure the tech is amazing. I won't deny that.

I still won't wait an hour to interact with Tink. It's just not gonna happen.

Unless it's a real Tink and we're heading to Vista Way:lookaroun

(Yes, I stole '74's joke, deal with it.)

Your opinion, but I think you are being jaded that it's Tink. ;)

I'm no Tink Fan, but this would be amazing. And quality. Quality is quality and that type of showmanship is what Disney needs to get back to. I'm all for it, ad yes, I'd wait for it.

I actually like Tink(at least the onld one before they gave her a voice and made her nice:rolleyes:), but tech isn't enough to get me on something. There's gotta be an appeal, and having Tink hit me with some dust isn't appealing enough for me(or most people over the age 0f 12, if I can venture a guess).

If they put the tech into a ride or a nice stage show? Sure I'd wait. I just don't find standing in line for an hour to talk to a screen quality.

Well, you might be standing in line, then. ;)

MIGHT, though. It could go both ways.

I would rather go on a smaller ride then wait an hour for a digital tink on a screen to "hit me with some pixie dust"

So now it's an interactive ride/show? Didn't know the plans were changing by the minute.

Lighten up!

But seriously, if it's what you're making it sound like, sounds like a waste of great tech to me, like Rocket Rods.

And you know I can't be happy, I'm a D&Ger!:drevil:;)

You lighten up, Mr. I Hate The FLE. :p

I actually think that they are putting the tech to good use this time. Not like in the past with RR and with MILF.

I'm a Doomer too, but credit is due when I see a good effort to use technology in fairly amazing ways. The quality of this helps, too.
