The Pixar Place Expansion (as discussed in another thread under general discussion) sounds like it will be a version of Carsland to take up most of the backlot tour area, a bugs life to take over HISTK playset, and continue the theming down the street. I'm thinking Lee is qualifying the MI coaster as separate from this, as opening would be quite far apart.

There were various things that were supposed to be opening in 2008 at the Animal Kingdom depending on when you look. Beastly Kingdom was meant to happen at the Animal Kingdom in 2008, but obviously that didn't happen because of Dueling Dragons in IOA.

As for the Pixar Place Expansion, The Bugs Life take over of the Honey I Shrunk the Audience playset could be done with a weekend refurbishment. Put up a new sign, add some static figures of Bugs Life characters and it's changed over.

The big thing is that Pizza Planet needs to be moved (and improved). I don't really like the idea of cloning Carsland - I would much rather have new ideas be the basis for expansion, but whatever.

I agree, they could put a Pizza Planet where the Narnia attraction is and put in a Muppet-themed restaurant where Pizza Planet is now.

They were supposed to break ground a year ago. The expansion would have been modified to avoid the legal issues preventing a replica of Mysterious Island at TDS, but it would have been similar.

I'm okay with it. It's DHS, it's gonna be a movie tie in, and the more Pixar they put there the less they put in other places.

Make a restaurant like the pizza shop in TLand in TDL or Cosmic Rays where an AA of the Swedish Chef is interacting for the crowd and making food.

It's still a Dragon themed attraction which was the problem to begin with. Granted Disney's version was to seemingly be less thrilling and better themed.

This is to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playset makeover to Bugs Life. Yeah, that would be a cheap cop-out way, but it's not like they're going to through animatronics in a playground. It's a playground (granted an elaborate one). As it is right now, there is very little to denote that it's Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and they could just as easily call it a Bugs Life playground and your average guest wouldn't know the difference. A Bugs Life wasn't a big enough movie to merit much more. I would much rather see money spent elsewhere so I don't mind if an obvious makeover is done as easily and as cheap as possible.
