First inside look at SGE!

Don't forget that these pictures were taken with the lights on. I'm sure if we all saw AE with out the dark atmosphere it would look just as cheesy. Everyone needs to wait and see the actual show before making judgemnet with the proper lighting and effects.

As far as Stitch looking like a giant plush toy, that's ok with me. He's supposed to be on the cute side anyway. That's why he's so adorable. ;)

I noticed a lot of people complaining (or whatever you wish to call it) over a lot of the old X-S stuff being left in there. However (Although I might have missed it), I didnt notice anyone metion that it could have been left in there in honor of the AE.

Think about it, there are numerous rides with items that connect a previous attraction that was once there in the location, so in that case, this would be the way to honor this certain attraction, a 'gift" from imagineers and the company to you AE Hardcore fans.

Although I wasnt a super big fan of the attraction, great to see Skippy back.
And about the comment about Tim Curry and seeming weird....Isn't this the same guy that did that number in the Rocky Horror Picture Show? Highly doubt he could top himself with a performance with S.I.R over that one in the movie.

I wasn't really saying that Tim Curry himself would be weird in SGE, but because of the way his voice sounds I don't think it would really fit in with the way the animatronic looks now. His voice IMO fit perfectly with S.I.R. on AE. I doubt they will cause they have to re-record and such, but if they did it would just sounds weird.

Someone asked, isn't Stich small... Well if you watch the movie, when he stands on his back legs, he's the same hight as Lilo. And she has to to be at least what, 7 years old? So she's around 3.5-4 feet

What really gets me about sir, isn't so much the blue vest or what appears to be a beret, but the round glasses and gold beak which makes him look like a monkey.

I much prefer the old SIR, the angry SIR, not one that looks like a DJ Monkey. :(

The new Alien...

With the comment Disneygrl made, makes me of the alien as that one family member you can't stand.

That or a hybrid of one of the country bears, and alien and a beaver (With the way the mouth looks....if I remember correctly from the photo)

I was hoping, they'd have Sparky in there somewhere, but I guess not.

Is is just me, or does the new S.I.R. look like a Furby? I can't wait to see a close up.

Thanks for the pics, by the way!

Furby. Yes:goodnevil . The perfect way to bring him back. Put him in there as one of the aliens in the transport system as one of the prisoners. /end rambling

I totally agree. After all, the Pooh ride has the picture of Toad giving Owl the keys. I think the Series 1000 is a great hidden nod to AE. (The logo may or may not be different but the font is definately the same.
Although I agree SIR looks a bit different, who knows if he is done? Plus, it may have just been the angle of the camera that distorted him more than needed. I guess we won't know until it opens.

BTW: According to Screamscape, Soft Openings may occur anytime between the last week of October and Nov. 16 (excluding Nov. 5-7th because of AP previews)

Has anyone considered they made the SIR AA look radically different because:

1 - it is a NEW attraction and to not create as many comparisions to AE as there will be.

2 - SIR was mean and evil looking, this ride is more family friendly, the robot should have a less threatening look.

Oy vey
