Awesome pictures!

Unfortunately, these pictures made me feel (for the first time) that they shouldn't have taken out Alien Encounter. Stitch looks like a giant plush toy. :(

And what have they done to S.I.R.???

It looks to weird for me, actually. . . but I'm gonna hold off judgement for a few months.

The AAs look REALLY, REALLY weird though. Not that they're bad... just... weird. I may see em better in person, who knows. :)

Love the pictures.....glad to see that they're keeping the XS Series 1000 logos on the pre-show tubes...those series 1000s...they're classics...they're the first in a complete line of personal and commercial teleportation devices capable of sending bright eyed biological lifeforms (like ourselves) and even lower lifeforms like skippy. So of course the Galactic Federation is going to use them
:D !

Are you guys starting to see why I wouldn't be able to give this attraction a fair chance? My gosh the XS Series 1000's are still there  Signage and all.

Wow! Super pics. I know some have said above Stitch looks like a stuffed animal, but that is exactly how he looked in the movie as well. I personally think he looks fantastic and realize he will look a lot different in proper lighting and effects and with movement. I feel confident Stitch will look even better in real life since the pic of Skippy doesn't make him look as good as he really was either. I just hope Stitch isn't too small and will be hard to see (even though he is the appropriate height for how tall he was in the movie). I'd agree that the new alien in the pre-show utilized the same under-mechanics as Skippy (which makes sense to do), but he does have distinct differences and I'm really liking him.

The one thing I'm not really caring for is the new look for SIR (or whatever his name will be). Perhaps he's not done and he will look better or differnt in real life, but I think he looks kind of silly.

Great pics, thanks for sharing!! I think Stitch does look small, but he is supposed to be small. If he were made any larger it would look strange. I only wish it was going to be open when we visit in Oct!!

Great pics. I agree that Stitch looks kind of plush like, but isn't that the way he is supposed to look. You don't wont him to have rubber skin do you?

I just checked out the Disney media Web site and there are no new photos of the attraction there. There is a neat Flash presentation on there I wish I could share with you, but there is no way to send a link to you without a password to the media site. Sorry guys. But take my word for it, this thing is going to be cool.

Just re-glancing at the photos and these are some changes I've noticed from AE:
-Pre-show now has a screen behind were SIR used to stand.
-Greater use of blue coloring throughout
-New stand for Stitch to stand on (its more "cartoony" than the one I remember the main Alien being on in AE)
-The Galactic Federation logo under the screens in the main chamber
-The one picture I believe shows the end of one of the plasma cannons. Its on the far right side of picture labeled "SGE4" about at the height of Stitch's top arm. You can see 2-3 circular objects that look like lights.
-I believe the Galactic Federation logo on the Series 1000 tubes instead of XS Tech (but I can't see it for certain)

Any others anyone has noticed?

(It looks more similar to AE than I was hoping for....that's not a bad thing, I was just hoping for more drastic changes to help prevent any unfavorable comparisons that COULD arise, but I'm sure hoping they're all favorable anyway. Then again, I suppose I always was expecting it to look similar to AE as the concept art did show it being that way)

Wow, fortunatly, these are making the loss of AE much easier for me. Though im still a scary fan over a kid-friendly fan, im sure it will be just as fun an attraction.I'd love to see a picture of the guns themselves.

And yeah, the pictures make Stitch look like his movement is gunna be hindered and chopyy, especially turning around. I guess we will have to wiat and see!

Happy Dance!

Thanks so much for the pictures, I think Stitch looks great :D He looks just like he stepped out of the movie. If only someone could grab a little movie of the Stitch AA in motion....

If Tim Curry is still doing the voice of S.I.R., and with the way he looks now, then that will probobly seem a little weird. :lookaroun Does anyone else feel the same way? And why does S.I.R. have glasses and what looks to be huge lips? Man they really did a number on him. :brick:
