My next trip to the World starts on January 18, and I just realized that I never say Finding Nemo the Musical. Is it any good? I love musical theatre, but I don't know if a musical about a fish really appeals to me...So any reviews would be helpful
It is amazing!
I am currently addicted to this show, I have watched it about twenty times over the last month or so. I also have a recording of it that I play on the Computer/Zune daily, in fact, I can hear a friend of mine singing it now.
It is very clever, the puppets are amazing, the music is brilliant and so catchy and the show is very fun.
Definately go and see it, it is definately worth it.
Just go with the Floooow!
You will not regret it, I have never heard someone say bad of it
When your seated try and get as close to the middle of the theatre as possible, I find that some positions on the far left and far right can only see the very front of the stage, there are certain sceneces which take place closer to the rear of the stage and you wouldn't have a chance of seing these.
Good luck, hope you enjoy it.
I don't think Broadway has anything to worry about. Though I love the Avenue Q score (which is a parody/homage to children's shows), I found Finding Nemo's music to be uninspired and very forgettable. The only song I ever remember is the annnoying one sung by crush. And it very much is a theme park show, quality-wise.Worst. Show. Ever. What a waste of 30 minutes.
Of course, I am totally joking. The musical is so well done (and the original music by songwriters of Avenue Q), I think it raises the bar for all future musicals, including the Broadway ones.
:sohappy:

Kids will enjoy the characters and bright colours, but the performers are absolute mince.
Could I ask, what makes their performance "mince" to you?
Even by theme park standards their inability to sing act or dance seems to fly in the face of the attributes required for a performer. Perhaps Im being a bit harsh, for an amateur dramatics performance it was the norm, I shouldnt judge by proper show standards.
