I typically try not to judge the 'lifestylers' -- to each his or her own. If that's how you want to spend your days, good luck to you. But honestly, the sense of entitlement shown by this chick was a bit offensive. Clearly everyone there was a fan trying to say goodbye to a beloved show. The notion of "my audience!" is just a bit annoying to me. Like there were plenty of streams online for people to catch, are YOU really that important that you had to basically give everyone else the finger in order to please "your audience?!" I thought we're all supposed to be fans enjoying things together? So much for a sense of community. It's only community if it's the one you're soliciting for clicks and donations I suppose.

How sweet 🙄
There's good and bad streamers. I was with All Central Florida last night and he stood directly behind his camera so it wasn't taking up any extra space or blocking anyone else. OH and no dumb commentary when the show was going on either.

Streamers usually get really weird when they get a large following.

I completely agree with you. It seemed that this lady was one of the unfortunate bunch. The stream I watched was excellent, and I thought the crew there was super professional and great. It's sad that people like this lady had to create a bad experience for other fans.

And suddenly things turned ugly.. :hungover:
14:40 - 18:00 (warning: there is cursing) Woman in question can be seen at 07:38.

I think they are both in the wrong, though obviously one more so than the other. The video is by the lady who can be seen near the end of ResortTV1's stream saying she is going to security over it.

Open a new thread! Would love to see this subject explored more in depth.

Those of you that came to the Meetup just now, I hope you had a nice time. It was short but I hope you guys all enjoyed the time up there!

It was very nice of you to offer a visit up there!
Very cool to see this view again after almost 30 years -
Thank you again for offering to share the experience!
It was definitely appreciated by this literal lifetime fan of the Original Pavilion.
:)

I have a few photos to share soon.
Tried to post them now but my connection keeps crashing here at my hotel, so will wait and try again later.

A nice time meeting all of you!

Greetings from the Imagination Pavilion!

I am here now, from 2pm to 3pm, giving away my fun art postcards for all fans of Figment & Tony Baxter!

Here I am sitting on a EPCOT Center era bench under the shade directly across the 'Upside Down Fountain' in the former Imagination Gardens.

Come by and say hello!
I will be here for the full hour.

Thank you again for setting this up. It was really nice to see the big group and the warm welcome you all gave my wife and me. And a special thank you again for the treasure you handed out. Loved the show and really enjoyed Epcot Forever (though it was odd they put “a whole new world” into the mix but I understand they were trying to reference the upcoming changes.)

Now here we sit in the MCO airport waiting to go back home:(. Well at least the whole family goes back in 51 days:)

My pleasure, and I'm so glad we all had a chance to meet each other!
Made the day ( and this visit ) all the more magical.
:)

Thank you for those fabulous decals.
Love those....!!!

I wish we knew the fate of the Earth Barge...

I am sure at some point, some 'Bothan Spies' will report back to us on it's eventual fate.
We know where it is...and i assume it's still backstage in it's little cove behind the African Outpost.
I would LIKE to hope it will be there for a little while.

Honestly, it would be nice to see it salvaged in some way,
Perhaps keep it, and use it for the 'Peace On Earth' Christmastime fireworks 'tag'?
That would be a nice way to re-use it.

If they don't want to use it on the lagoon, perhaps it could be brought on land.
Even if just displayed backstage, having the globe segment mounted as a display would be a far better fate then just cutting it up and chucking it in a construction dumpster.
Maybe re-use for special events...?
Mount it inside the the ol' Millennium Village building...?

We shall see....

If it's destiny is indeed to just be 'junked', the Earth Barge bulbs should be removed and sold as collectibles.
I would buy one.

Still trying to upload my photos here, but still having problems doing so.
Will have to try something else tomorrow.
Just a couple of nice shots of the inside of the glass pyramids at Imagintion and the fountains at night time.

In the meantime, I am wondering if anyone knows what the approximate Park attendence was for September 30th?
The Park definitely was busy, but it was not totally packed like many were expecting.
Anyone with the insight to provide a general number..?

Stunning photo of the Earth Barge parked in the lagoon.
Great shot, and I love the sunset coloring in the sky.

One of the highlights of my visit was having the opportunity to visit the upper level of the Imagination Pavilion.
A big thank you goes out again to @trainplane3 for this special treat!
I have not seen this view since 1983.
Might have seen it in 1985 as well, but can't recall clearly.

I'm glad the times worked out and I got you guys up there! It's a very nice view that's sadly locked behind a (pricy) pay-wall.

And as a general FYI for anyone else reading this, I don't mind taking people up here to see the view (and have a drink and snack). If my trip lines up with someone else's trip and I don't need to majorly modify my schedule, they can come up! This applies to Top of the World as well but that's a bit trickier due to the times (5-midnight).

There may be a trip for the Epcot art festival in early 2020...
